Career immersion - Seamless transition between missions (no jumping to menus)

TLDR: Allow user to select and start the next mission from within their aircraft and in the same session.

I think we can all agree there are some awesome features with the new career mode, but unfortunately it can lack immersion / a feeling of player presence in the world.
This is one of several suggestions I will be posting to the Wishlist forum.

Request:
One of the biggest things that remove a sense of presence in the world, especially in VR, is to be thrown back to a menu when you want to continue your flights/journey. Please allow users to avoid flight exit menus and instead have option to select a follow up mission from the EFB map.
Each mission would still me logged/awarded on completion to avoid progression loss due to crash
This feature would likely require an option to free flight to next mission starting location to work properly.

Sounds good, but would only work for missions from the airport that your previous mission has landed you at. Unless you fly to the next mission origin first that is.

I’ve yet to start a company, so maybe that insists that missions start from where you last landed?

Yes, that was my thoughts. And if not at the same location it would tie into my other wishlist of allowing transit flights between locations, potentially being added to the first stage of a mission.

Companies might complicate things, but ideally I would love a freelance mode option where you have your plane, and people in different locations have a use for you and your plane so you fly around to meet their demand. Essentially like the game operates now before you purchase a company and aircraft, but with less menus/jump cuts.

If you’ve ever tried Neofly, just that please haha.

Totally onboard with this. The back to the menu thing is total immersion killer

I think the ideal would be a system similar to “Euro Truck Simulator 2”.
Being able to select the city from which to start our orders, having to go there, or not, carry out the mission. Once finished, you can select whether you want missions from that same origin, or another and having to travel to the new point.
Or fly to our base.

Something I don’t like in actual system, is that having a base selected, and there are no missions on it.
Perhaps i don’t want travel around the world, and maintain at my “confort zone”.
