Should I buy another cargo plane and keep one in Europe with crew and fly the other plane myself in Australia? And do I need to start another company for the new cargo plane?
Expanding with another cargo plane sounds smart! Keeping one in Europe and flying one in Australia is a solid plan. Good luck!
Thanks mate, i hear other people are having troubles getting the crew to fly the planes and making good money at the same time.
Each plane has a dedicated pay rate (cr/hr). The time your crew flying is identical to your realworld flight time, i.e., SimRate acceleration not applied. So basically you need to set crew on for the planes you are not flying, and set crew off for the plane you are flying.
To maximise passive income you may want to stay in the air as long as possible, possibility with the help of SimRate decrease if you want to leave your flight on for a prolonged period. And be sure to log off before 0000UTC, around which the income would be calculated and sent to your account after your next login. Good luck!
So i HAVE to be offline? Thats the reason why i didnt get passive income the last days ![]()

Yes, according to my experiment, you have to. Two special time I am currently caring about:
One is 0000 in your local timezone, flying past this time may lead to an exception of the mission you are currently on.
Other one is the 0000UTC, if you stay online you may not get the passive income for the last 24Hr.
I live in Sydney Australia, if i start playing msfs 2024 after the 0000utc which is 11am in Sydney am i still going to get the passive income?
Give it a 30 minute buffer and you should be fine.
I have a fleet of five C172s. I set them all to Crew On. That way I can fly any of them and the other 4 will make passive income for me.
It took me a little less than a month to get around 1 million credits saved up in Career Mode. I had two crashes that set me back.
Last week I had a million dollars and one plane. As of today I have 1.4million and five planes.
With one plane it would have taken me about 2-3 more months to afford a C208, with the amount of time I have available to fly.
I estimate it will take me about 3 weeks to buy a C208 now. Maybe less as I will have more time to fly this week.
Did you crashed the planes or was it the crew?
I crashed them. The first one, the autopilot flew into trees on a mountainside because I misjudged the heighth of the mountain. Poor pre-trip planning.
The second one I tried to force a landing after coming in too fast and floating halfway down the runway. Overshot the end of the runway and crashed into trees, again. I should’ve gone around again. It was my third attempt on that runway. There was a crosswind and the runway was on top of a plateau.
Both crashes were entirely my fault and could have been avoided with a little more effort on my part.
Now I spend more time route planning and if I’m not sure that I can land safely, I go around.
I don’t think I fully answered your question.
Yes you will get the passive income owed to you if you login after the UTC rollover. If you happened to be flying a career mission before the UTC rollover that doesn’t end until after the rollover, you may not get the money that day. You should get it the following day though. Although some people reported never receiving that particular days income. YMMV
Managing planes in Europe and Australia sounds efficient—no need for a new company. By the way, when I’m not flying cargo, I enjoy Car Parking Multiplayer. Check it out here: https://modcarparking.com/.
Very honest dude. I’ve learned a lesson too with this. Instead of just trying to make the landing when coming in too hot, high or not straight, I now take a few more minutes and go around. After a long flight it’s just not worth risking it all to save 5 mins.
I plan the flight altitude properly, check the destination runway details and ‘fly in’ on the world map on the mission screen to check out the locale. Apart from this being a bit more realistic in terms of planning, and hence more immersive, it just makes the chance a successful trip more likely.
I kept forgetting they’re not boss fights where you get another go a couple of minutes later. If you crash, that’s it. Full stop. It’s galling after 3+ hours. ![]()
