In Career Mode, I’m trying to create/buy my own company. I was looking at the cheapest company: the FlightSeeing company (at far left of company list). Cost is 1,000 CR + 19,000 CR for a G2 helicopter. I had 20,000 credits, but I decided to play a bit more before buying it. I leveled up from 32 to 35, and also I now have 35,000 CR. But when I went to buy the FlightSeeing company, the cheap G2 is gone… now the cheapest helo listed is 400,000 CR!!
Same thing for starting a Cargo company: there used to be a Cessna Skyhawk option for about 23,000 CR, but that option is now gone, and the price of the cheapest plane for Cargo company is 600,000 CR !!!
Does anyone know why the cheap plane options disappeared from my Company purchase options?
Did you start a company at all? IIRC there’s a discount for your first purchase only, after that it’s normal prices

No, I did not start a company. I’m certain because (a) I do not yet have the “Entrepreneurial Spirit” achievement; and (b) my Career mode home shows “0” at the bottom in the “Company” choice box.
On the other hand, I did browse several company types, and was looking at their prices and aircraft, and I think I clicked one one or two to see what sort of details popped up. I wonder if I accidentally bought the G2 helicopter, but did not fully purchase the FlightSeeing company? When I start up the game later today, I’ll try to find where the list of aircraft I own is. If I own a helicopter, that would explain what happened.
… on second thought, when I was browsing the Companies in Career mode, my Credit balance did not decrease. I had 20,000 to begin, and I still had 20,000 when done. So, I must not have accidentally bought the G2, because the G2 cost about 19,000 and that would have depleted by Credit balance.
Update from OP: I was able to purchase the desired aircraft, so this issue is not as severe as I initially thought. This might be explained by a misuderstanding of the user interface: My steps were:
- In Career Mode home page. I want to buy my first company.
- Click on “Company” button at bottom
- See a list of company kinds; click on the FlightSeeing company kind
- Two vehicles are displayed - one of them is a cheap 19,000 helo
- Do not buy company now. Wait until later.
- Later: view the Company list again; observe that the cheapest aircraft is NOT displayed … I panic, thinking it is no longer available.
- Later: I view the Company options again, and the cheapest aircraft has returned to the display. At that point, buy the company, and buy the cheap aircraft.
- Apparently the two displayed aircraft (for a given company kind) vary from time-to-time?
The confusing thing is that I thought only TWO aircraft (for a a given company) were available. In fact (I think) there are more than 2, and only 2 are shown due to space limitations. But if you go forward with the purchase, then the cheapest aircraft becomes available (displayed) later in the purchase process.
If the above is correct, then this bug is not quite a severe as I initially thought. The bug changes into a user annoyance issue, stated as: “The user should be able to see a full list of aircraft available for purchase early in the Company-Purchase process”.
Limiting the initial display to only two aircraft is very confusing. I’m not sure how to indicate to users that more aircraft are available, but the game should do that.
Buying a company is a big deal, and the user needs to know how much $$ they’ll need to spend (at a minimum to complete the purchase). If there are no cheap aircraft displayed, then most early-game users (buying their first company) will think that they cannot proceed.
