ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
Basically a list of issues I have regularly experienced during career mode missions.
Happy to add to the list with issues from others.
Issues list:
+ Unable to reach FL on a IFR Flightplan
Mission system doesn’t take into account the STD Baro setting for the cruise altitude. Resulting in either a flight level reset or ATC jelling at you to descend or climb…
- European and US Transition Altitudes and Levels are different. Which is not simulated unfortunately.
+ Airport Layout Issues
Sometimes taxiing to the holding point of a runway requires you to taxi via the runway to a turnpad near the start point of the runway. Issuing a warning for runway incursion, deducting valuable xp and bonus points.
+ Insufficient Fuel
So far most missions with the following aircraft are impossible to complete when doing Medevac or Ferry flights.
- DHC 2 Beaver
- Cessna 208 Caravan
+ Patients way to sensitive [Medevac]
Flying a approach the traffic pattern can’t be followed in a normal way, otherwise resulting in mission failure on approach or deduction of points
+ Multi-Engine Piston Rating unrealistic [Licensing]
Doing a single Engine approach with the DA62 should be easy and the aircraft would at least hold altitude.
- Switching engine master to OFF would result in the prop to feather and stop!!!
- Windmilling of the prop would only be realistic at a speed ca.130-140 kts with the prop unfeathered.
- now the simulation is causing to much drag on the windmilling prop!
+ Unable to pick up Banner [Aerial Advertising]
Initially it all worked fine, but with the Norden and XCub it is not possible to pickup the banner, for whatever reason…
+ Off Airport landings on SAR Missions [SAR]
Ground is extremely rough, causing usually some type of gear or wheel damage or failure during SAR missions. Think the levels are way to sensitive…
