Career mode missions become unplayable after while or before landing

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

What is happening to me, I keep losing reputation due to the mission runs perfectly in the beginning, but after 10-20 minutes or before landing the simulation becomes very laggy and unplayable with 99% GPU utilization.

My PC is Intel Core Ultra7, MB Z890 Aorus Master, 64GB RAM, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 2TB M.2 drive. All drivers updated and not running any addon for the sim.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

I had a similar issue when I was about 10 minutes to land. I had no stick/throttle control, and no keyboard input was recognized. I ended up hitting Alt F4 to close the sim, at least that worked. lol

That sounds like an issue I was having with windows power plans. If you are experiencing the same issue I had been:

  1. Go to “Device Manager”–>“Universal Serial Bus controllers”
  2. Navigate to each “USB Root Hub (3.0)” listed, and click on “Properties”
  3. Click on the “Power Management” tab, then deselect “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” for each one.

Thank you. I’ll take a look at this if it happens to me again. It has only happened once thankfully.
