Having everything unlocked for testing during the SU2 beta has really made me wish this was a feature too

I don’t think these are generated by any AI, these are simply scripted, it is always the same 3-4 sentences, with random, rarely matching combinations of names/voices/gender, triggered always in the same moment in the same situation.
Any LLM would do better than this, not mentioning third party devs, or even avid users creating much better randomly generated missions for instance using the Hype H145 mission pack, or the upcoming Miltech action pack.
Sayintentions showed what is possible with a real LLM based AI, no idea why Microsoft isn’t using its own LLM in FS2024.

Same here, especially with all the bugs that are still present. It is nice to be able to fool around without losing credits or reputation when this thing is acting up again + not having to go through hopelessly unrealistic certification.

I perfectly agree. Since I myself have like an hour or two a week to fly I really do not want to waste my time in hundrets of boring parachute missions to gain like 1500 credits - I will NEVER reach any interesting mission this way. PLEASE OPEN THE MISSIONS FOR US!!!
Yeah, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. I have never owned Microsoft flight simulator 2020, i only own and have ever flown in 2024. I have over 700 hours and NEVER use career mode ever, and never plan to. Please make things only in career mode also on free flight, specificly sling loads and things like this.

Just having simple ability to do career-like missions in free flight with own choice of aircraft and no conditions or failures would be very nice to have

Game has been out a year and I’m blown away that the only way I can fly a mission is to start a career…. Something I have zero desire to do. I understand career mode was a top ask from fs2020, but hey…. Options!
I bought the game to fly the CL415 and drop water on fires. Not do basic flight training all over again (I have my real world PPL…once was enough!). Just let me fly!

I would like to see a Mission Panel that is incorporated into the EFB, whereby the pilots are able to conduct optional missions of the type that are involved in the transporting of freight, fighting fires, SAR work, and utility work (amphibious and scoopers) from a free flight condition that are generated on the basis of the aircraft capabilities and the conditions without having to play Career Mode, which would open this up to a much greater degree and would provide a whole new level of enjoyment for the players.
Just imagine a multiplayer scenario whereby your fighting a fire a mateyboy is inbound on a SAR mission.
This option might be available already in a 3rd party capacity for PC but availability for all for something similar would be great to see

Do you have a source for this? I remember “give us a reason to fly”, and missions were definitely a top ask, but I don’t think anyone expected them to be locked in career mode. It certainly was not what the community expected.
And the real tragedy is that features like sling load physics are also locked in career mode, so third party devs must implement it themselves…

There are other issues not on this list with way more votes then many of the items on here. It feels like they havent updated this in a while…
Yes we definitely need a non career mode way to play the missions. I haven’t even tried career mode for a year now because on the first mission it asked me to do things that would = banning from the airfield, revoking of licence and being sacked. Then after taking off it wanted an F18 style flight path from a C172. But I would like some of the scenarios.
Not a lot of action on this front it seems, while it must be easy to implement. I mean, when opting into the beta the whole career is available…
Has there been any mention in any last developer streams or comments or anything at all that this might be considered as a possibility?

To anyone wanting to fly any of the missions without having to go through the career mode, if you join the beta then all of the missions are automatically unlocked and you can fly them all straight away.
Less and less by the week, so many issues and radio silence from Asobo whilst they fix some cabin light bug in the 737 nobody knew about. They simply are understaffed or non chalante
I am Something like lvl 800, 40 planes all the big jets and 800mio in the bank. So pretty much nothing to fly for except map exploration unlocking which I actually love doing…but they took away so many missions, now 5 passenger missions at major hubs, only 5!! This is making map exploration and unlocking impossible. The TFDI MD11 is now available so that will give some career mode 2nd wind, but the myriad of underlying career mode issues are still there. So it’s more free flight than career mode these days. It peaked SU4 and has regressed with SU5 and 5.1 killed most the missions which kills choice/variety of map exploration
