Carenado 182Q - Garmin 430 not working

Just wanted to see if anyone else is having the same issue. The 430 used to work just fine, now I can not click any of the buttons, and the hardware buttons I had programmed don’t work either. I tried reinstalling the plane and it didn’t fix it.

I just wanted to know if anyone else is having this issue? or if it’s just my game. This is for 2020.

Moved to User Support Hub that is more appropriate for community support.

Okay. I thought it was just me.

The first/next step is always to remove everything in /Community and see what the conflict is. I had this old (outdated) update to the PMS50 530/430 here:

I wonder if it’s conflicting with the Working Title one bundled with the game. I’ll try removing it and see if that changes the behavior in the 182Q.

Seems a shame if so, but what’s “yet another restart” between flying sessions of specific planes?

Unfortunately, even with absolutely nothing in the Community folder, the 430 buttons/knobs are utterly unclickable. The unit itself seems to boot up, and is showing the correct software version, but the interface layer/bezel is a static facade. It seems like the 182Q implementation of this gps combo is bugged.

I checked out the 185F and the CT210N, and both have versions of the 430 that seem to work fine. I wonder if a simple hack in the config could emulate one of those other planes. I don’t know enough about how the file/folder structure works to attempt that.

I got mine working. Seems like the install of the 210 was causing my issues. I uninstalled the 210 and the buttons started working again on the 182q. I then reinstalled the 210 and they stayed working.

Now that’s totally weird. I’ll give that a try! Thank you.

Yup!

100% fixed it. The 182Q worked immediately after uninstalling the CT210. It must have been a glitchy initial package release.
