I have been away from the sim for a while.
Is it just me, or did the CDI button stop working on the GNS 530?
I am trying to toggle to GPS mode rather than VLOC, but nothing happens. It is stuck on VLOC.
EDIT: SOLVED. HAD A BAD MOD.
I wouldnāt use the 430/530 combo when you have a perfectly good 750 available, but thatās just me.

Iām on Xbox Series S and I cannot get the HSI/CDI to connect to the GPS. Iām clicking on the GPS for GPS and the HSI doesnāt change. Is there something Iām missing?

Iām seeing the same thing on PC.
I had been using the 337 a few months back as my primary aircraft and I wasnāt seeing this issue.
I removed all 3rd party content except the 337 and the issue went away.
I have no idea which add-on is responsible, but there appears to be some sort of a conflict.
Do you have a large collection of add-ons? Iāve seen this sort of thing before with 3rd party aircraft. The Islander, for example, will affect other aircraftās autopilots in a negative way. Iām thinking a recent purchase (I havenāt made many) might be the issue.
Perhaps we can work together to find a common culprit.
The only add-ons I have are mainly aircraft and some enhanced airports. I donāt have any add-ons that deal with any GPS or instrument stuff. Majority of the airplanes I have are from ālegitā devs like Asobo, Carenado and Black Square. When I get on again I can list what I have. So far the Skymaster is the only plane with this issue. I guess I can do the olā get rid of every add-on and one by one add each one backā¦hate to lose a good plane lol
Do you have any liveries for it? I have seen liveries mess up controls for my Carenado YMF5.

You didnāt happen to pick up the recently released Condor did you?
They are on Xbox ā no livery options for it on that platform.

I put every Marketplace add-on back and the VLOC/GPS toggle is still working.
I donāt understand.
I know you donāt even have a Community folder, so that cannot even be your issue.
Iām going to put those items back and see what happens.
If it still works Iām throwing my hands in the air!
EDIT:
All of my content is reinstalled and it still works, so I donāt really understand what was going on when I initially tested it and why it works now.
Carenado does love to reuse and modify Asobo code without making it their own, which can in turn break things. They also tend to reuse their own code, but forget to include that code in the planes they reused it in, so it only works if you also have the plane they reused from.
Itās too bad I donāt backup OneStore aircraft before updating, so itās impossible to know what, if anything, theyāve changed.
FWIW, I had a few flights in the Skymaster this week on Series X with no issues tracking the GPS on the HSI. What I have been doing for quite some time now in this and other GA aircraft is cycling the GPS/NAV1 switch during preflight, before navigating. While not always necessary (who knows right) it always works, so itās part of my GA procedure flow. Hope this helps. Cheers!

So I got rid of all add-ons and reinstalled the Skymaster. It still doesnāt work, actually it does when I create a GPS flight plan through the World Map. It wonāt work if Iām creating a flight plan in game through the GPS itself. I donāt have this issue with any of the other aircraft I have.

Ah, Iāll re-check by loading without a World Map FP and see if that is the issue for, as well.
That might have been what I saw initially when I tested for you. I know on subsequent loads I setup a FP in the World Map.
This plane is pretty old, it might need the WT GNS530 addon installed, that one in the content manager with the colored GPS image for an icon?
(I asssume, as you said, youāve removed everything from the Community folder so thereās no interference there)
Iām not seeing this issue on PC. I loaded C&D with no FP. I tune to my local VOR and can toggle GPS/VLOC and see an immediate change in the HSI. I programmed a FP in the GNS and can still toggle VLOC/GPS and see the mode change reflected in the HSI.
I no longer have the sim installed on my Xbox, or Iād check there.
I do not have the Marketplace GNS add-on installed, as Carenado upgraded the 337 some time ago to work with the WT version natively.
