Carenado Cessna 182T Skylane

Literally unreal. Game has been running fine since release, so, Purchase the Carenado Cessna 182 from the in game store menu, it downloads, installs and hangs and game will now not get past updates screen without freezing up.
So uninstalled and reinstalling as I speak.
Any help would be much appreciated

Got the same issue. Game crashes with the Carenado 182. Other airplanes work fine,

That’s awful. Good luck getting Carenado support :grimacing:

There seems to be a problem with Market addon installation. Many users struggle with this atm.

I get freezed / crashing game after buying LOWI ORBX airport … It downloads, installs and then kills the flight sim.

After restarting its freezing again and again in update screen.

Only deleting the downloaded folder in your steamapps did solve the problem, but also the addon is not installed

No Bugfix available until now.

Many users sent official zendesk support tickets to get this problem solved.

Regards

Would of been smart knowing that purchased content would do this. Maybe they should of disabled purchased content until it is fixed. nope got to have everyone’s money !

Same issue, VERY frustrating!?

But if you delete the Carenado folder from the “Official” folder the game starts and all is well again, no reinstall needed.

Very annoying after $29.99, hopefully they fix it soon.

People do repaints for A2A cockpits.

Some are very old and battered.

Hard to believe you write off A2A cos of that.

Nothing else comes close. The only old cockpit Carenado did was the Dornier do228. It was still crudtastic. Those trim wheels may have looked realistic, but the indicator needles moved the wrong way !:woozy_face::woozy_face::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Show me update notes from Carenado that is higher than 1.2.

99 percent never went above 1.1.

It’s usually 1 patch a month after, and that’s it. Come on… they’re famous for that ! :woozy_face::joy:

I’m not the one writing off A2A though, it’s the person I replied to.

Sorry my bad.

But it’s a discussion thread. It needed to be said.

OMG I’m desperate for a decent plane :woozy_face::woozy_face::crazy_face::crazy_face::crazy_face::grin::grin::grin:

@REPUBLICDC9

correct. Send all your errors to sendesk support tickets from MS FS team

https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Or their Turbo Otter/Otter.

… They weren’t bad in P3D and an amphibious version would be awesome.

Yeah, I had their Beaver and floats kit in P3D and it was a real nice bush plane.

Same problem, I made a report to Zendesk
I hope it will be resolved quickly

Is that the solution?(!) Buying a simulator with a whole bunch borked and broken planes (Deluxe)and than wait for A2A to deliver? Microsoft and it’s partners are a multi-billion industry and you want them to walk away with it just like that? Ever bought an Audi to realize it has no engine and than waited to buy a new Mercedes with hopefully a motor in it? It’s up to Microsoft and or Asobo the get their sh*t together and deliver what we have payed for.

The default planes in flight sims have always been entry-level planes, otherwise the sims would cost a lot more. They’re platforms, not all-in-one games. That way people who like GA planes can go get nice GA planes, and people who like airliners can go get nice airliners, etc.

Fair point.

Although the platform aspect currently is also a hot mess. Broken weather, broken turboprops, broken ATC, broken this, broken that.

I do have fun with the game, since I have come back to civil aviation sims from a longer stint with DCS. But until there is a comprehensive 3rd party landscape for FS2020, serious simmers will get their fix elsewhere is my guess.

I’m a Serious Simmer™ and get my fix well enough in MSFS 2020 that I deleted my P3D with all its add-on sceneries (FS Global Ult. NG, almost all of Orbx, etc). Going back to that for my flying just isn’t even close to appealing now.

I stand corrected then

But for me, also a Serious Simmer™ (trying to at least), it will be a while longer, until i find myself at home with the new sim. Just too much stuff missing. When they get the weather and stuff in order, it will be glorious.
