Carenado King Air b200 2024

I’m now getting this happening in 2D as well. Anyone else? (I don’t use VR)

I noticed it is related to the height of your viewpoint. If I raise the level of my viewport up it gets worse. If I drop the view point down it clears up.

Yes i noticed it too…

I submitted a support ticket regarding this issue a couple of weeks ago, but its status remains open with no update, even after requesting an update twice. The problem occurs in 2D mode, and it is significantly worse in VR. Has anyone identified a potential workaround or solution?

I tried different AA settings, and then I tried different combinations of scaling and resolution. I could not solve it.

Same problems here. All bugs are specific only to the VIP variant, so go figure. The flight director can be turned on without AP but requires a keybind. Again, doesn’t work properly on the VIP.

It’s like the variants are on different release builds of the same airplane. The sound set is different also with the Medevac having better spatial audio and external sounds as well as a functioning EFIS and flight director…

There’s also the “accurately modelled” turboprop engine behaviour where torque DECREASES when you decrease the prop RPM at max throttle. Something they did somehow manage to get right on the default C90.

I raised detailed tickets about all of these issues to try and be as explicit as possible as to where these issues are and what I’ve done to eliminate possible causes with graphics settings and third party content, but something tells me they won’t address the tickets and bug reports people are making, and this will just be another addon left to the wayside. It’s such a shame because the Medevac BE20 is actually very fun and engaging to fly and fills the void until the BS King Air makes a reappearance. Unfortunately though I don’t really want to fly an ambulance around, so it’s being hangared, likely indefinitely.

I have another aircraft they made, but even if I submit bug reports, they don’t fix them for over a year. Once they move on to a new project, they rarely, if ever, fix bugs in previously released products unless the issue makes the game completely unplayable.

I hate to hear that, but you are right, for me an aircraft which is not upgraded regularly is still an unfinshed product… I love the B200 and i would like to see all the little bugs corrected. One of my problem is the EFB not keeping the data and i have to switch my winglets on, on all flights, and the GPS. Is there a way to save it that i missed ?
I tried the medevac version, and it is right to say that the screen is sharper

This drives me crazy on all Carenado planes. EFB does not remembers our choices. On their Baron 55 I have to go to EFB and switch every single option everytime I want to fly.

The beta range/reverse comments are what stood out to me most. Has anyone actually tried the B200 in Career Mode or on a shorter runway? I’d be interested to know how much the current beta/reverse behavior affects landing distance and ground handling in practice.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Carenado product have any persistence features. So, not likely.

If it’s not in the standard SDK, it won’t likely be in a Carenado product.

X-box doesn’t natively support file writing and saving easily. So Carenado won’t spend any time trying to make a ‘broken’ feature work. As we all know, those companies that have gotten persistence working have been struggling to keep it working. It’s just not a feature that’s high on Asobo’s priority list to maintain and get working, mainly because they don’t have a lot of, or, technically, any, control over it. They’re beholden to the X-box group, who have other fish to fry.

In case anyone was curious, this ticket is still “open” but has “urgent” priority assigned, so it may actually get addressed in due course. Updated 4 days ago with no response as of yet…

Strongly advise anyone else with bugs report them as they do seem to read their zendesk tickets.

Thanks for the update. Keep us posted please. It would be great to have a usable vip king air.

Yes, please keep us posted. Thanks!

Question for those who have this module and have flown its last version:
Is this worth the purchase as an upgrade to the C90GTx that is included in FS24. I’m talking about an upgrade to flight model and engine simulation.
The C90GTx can almost take off at idle throttle and low idle condition lever.
Is the B200 any better since the C90GTx is also designed by Carenado for FS24?

Well, at the very least, it doesn’t let you do that. But it doesn’t punish you for much either.

For those still interested I’ve just had a message from Carenado saying the ticket is now “solved”, but no explanation of what “solved” is…

Maybe it’ll be an update? I’ve never seen a maintained changelog for their aircraft so no idea on a timeline.

It may not actually mean that the bug has been fixed.
It could simply be that they’ve ticked it off as resolved because they’ve sent a reply.
I own another aircraft and reported a bug with it, but it still hasn’t been fixed after more than a year.

There is a change log on their website (link below), under version history. It does not open on mobile devices. So check it on a computer.

The change log only goes until May 25th, 2026. Maybe we’ll see an update in the coming days or week.
