Do you know what is the current status for latest mentioned required fixes ?
No, only once Carenado release an updated version weâll know what the changes are. I have not heard anything about if and when theyâll release it.
Well, Carenado is not famous for their continuous and quick support so I personally donât expect any updates for the Mooney ever again. Whatâs currently there is quite excellent, I enjoy the aircraft very much.
Yes, agree with your comments. Anyway, I stay optimistic and still hope theyâll bring an update for FS2020 but wait and see⊠I also enjoy that beautiful airplane.
The Mooney was one of my first add on planes and I really like it. I wish they would make it as great as some of the newer planes we have now.
The Mooney is one of my favorites. I would love an A2A version. Even a Black Square mod would be great.
Hello all.
I have had the Mooney for quite some time abut just today decided to fly it again after 8-9 months.
Apparently I am not able to engage HDG mode or the ALT and VS functions.
No problem on my side, are you clicking on âAPâ 1st to activate the autopilot ?
Yes i am click AP of course.
ok, and what happens when you click on HDG and ALT/VS ?, the corresponding symbols are highlighted ?
I have the main toggles (AP on/off,HDG,NAV1,ALT hold) and increase/decrease heading bug, VS ref, ALT ref and all the assigned yoke buttons work as well as the mouse on the instrument itself. Of course ALT ref only works on G3000/G1000/Collins setups and VS only works once armed manually on older systems including the very old Sperry through the KAP. Just flew it the other day across all of HI.
Itâs been through multiple SU updates, just uninstall/reinstall. And I have the WT stuff installed(which for whatever reason causes zero problems on my 'box).
Iâve been going through the fleet flying stuff for the first time in a year+, a few of them required a 5 minute uninstall/reinstall.
All I can say is thank goodness for PMS GTN750. It has a built-in autopilot that works on most third party planes and I get features like FLC on the Mooney. Really, the system deserves a better AP than the Bendix King, but it was modeled on an earlier mark of the Ovation, circa early 2000s, so the KAP it is.
Oooh thatâs nice, too bad for those of us on the 'box.
I personally havenât had problems using the autopilot, but itâs finicky for sure. The altitude preselector and VS setting still doesnât work correctly, you have to adapt to it, otherwise it wonât do what you want it to. I also fly solely with GPS NAV so that might also help my case. An update is in order for this otherwise great plane but Carenado donât seem to keep updating their aircraft.
It can be a PITA with this and the 337, always ready to click ALT hold when I get close as I always seem to forget to remember in which order to arm/set VS/ALT on those.
You get AP in the 750? Only in the full product, I guess? Is it worth getting the full versoin, you think? I do miss traffic and elevation.
Correct AP is for full license only. The license is well worth it - I paid once for lifetime and Marc has been very industrious keeping up and improving the GTN.
Good news! I have had some issues with earlier versions of the free 750, but that could also have to do with not updated airrafts etc (Hello, Carenado!!!). But now Im mostly flying a bit better aircraft so⊠probably not a problem. how much for life license? (lazy)
At current rates, about 55 USD for lifetime. Thatâs cheaper than some premium payware planes and you get bang for the buck on every plane that uses it.
Is the traffic info overlayed on the map or is that a separate info on other page?
