Carenado PC-12

Yeh, completely agree, i was gonna grab it, then i seen the airliner price tag for just a cockpit and thought, nope, cash grab

To stop battery drain, turn on the standby bus after starting, FPS drop is still there though…

You de realise that its much more than just the cockpit and that there is not even a single negatif comment in the KA’s topic?

Everyone that has it says its awesome and its like having a new professional plane.

Devs are pumping out weekly(sometimes daily) patches based on simmers feedback

Its fine if you dont want to Buy it, buts they did way more than just swap the glass cockpit for analog gauges

it does look good, and its probably done well, but i just think its too much money for what it is, $25usd woulda been closer to the mark for me, not $40. The 414 is the same price and they made the whole thing, with engines, luggage, passengers and animations.

Same as them Garmin 750 mods, they cost more than the PMDG 737, like come on, really?! Each their own though, tbh, i’ll probably end up caving and buying it anyway haha

I have noticed that there is a lot less right rudder deflection.
This seems to create an issue when taxiing.
Can a change be made in the acft config file?

I think that it is an issue with the rudder trim being set right. Submit a ticket to Carenado. They already know about it but it may help.

Yeah, this plane is all over the place on taxi/groundroll etc. You know what Carenado said via email? “Use differential braking.” Yes, we know that. But when the plane is veering side/side all over the place with hardly any wind… meh. Its just not worth it.

Thanks for the reply. Tried differential braking and it doesn’t help very much.
I end up using reverse thrust to slow it enough to turn.

Thanks for the reply. I will look that but, I don’t think trim is the issue.

Too bad, it feels like abandonware…bet they made a good deal with MS to do the other planes so this one hits the uninstall button

Can anyone tell me where the inertial separator switch is?

That’s what I am thinking.
Either way, because of this, their lack of communication, lack of essential updates and complete disconnect with their customers…
Carenado is added to my DO NOT BUY list from now on.

overhead panel far right second switch down

As mentioned right side, overhead panel, but when “open” is illuminated is when it is on, i made the mistake of thinking open, meant open at the front and couldnt workout why i was only 220kts!

Yes, but without having much knowledge you immediately notice the difference in performance when you switch it on or off  or not?

There have been issues with the overhead panels, lights etc not properly animating on this plane. 1 of 20 some major issues.
25 dollars?
Look forward to Sim Works Studios version.
Even if their plane is bugged on released (not likely at all) it would still be leaps and bounds better than this lipstick on a pig.
SWS would at least acknowledge, address and fix the issue. Not to mention a proper and significant manual.

25 dollars is hardly worth this plane. SWS might charge 30 or 35 ( I am just guessing, so calm down) and it would be worth every penny.
Performance/dynamics, Looks/Graphics and that highly unusual thing some developers don’t have: Actual customer support.

I have given this plane several chances as some hardly report any issues with this plane. I got a 3 hour flight out of it once.

The Kodiak I fly often, still. Even practically a year after release. The FSW 414, Milviz 310 (meh), PMDG 737 and DC6…Hell, the 10 dollar C22-J was fixed soon after release and its still amazing. The developer still fixes an issue caused by sim updates when need be.

Carenado? Crickets.

Tried this thing at my friend it flew and worked well on his system (batteries did charge  ) hoever i noticed two things.

Taxi: Taxi was just super ■■■■■, no other way to describe it. Even in ground idle it would runaway. Now the problem was with the steering. They used this thing they use in the 170 where below like 10-15kts it steers very good but above that it hardly steers. It was constant struggle and just a pita.

Sound: The next major issue for me, that had me just abort the flight after 15 minutes was that there was this looping very high pitched whine/screech that just wouldn’t go away. Played with the prop pitch, torque, vent system and we couldn’t get it to stop. Kinda strange i have not seen this mentioned here i think as it really was quite a bad sound.

Another week. Astounding.

Much appreciated! I will try these. Carenado/MS updated the Cessna 195 today which came out after the PC12 so I am guessing they are still “working” on the PC12 but your ideas will be much appreciated now. Thanks!

Interestingly enough currently Carenado seem much more invested in their cheaper planes they launch with MS than their own more expensive ones. The Bonanza also was updated not long ago and is superior to the Mooney which has been having performace issues for quite some time.
