Carenado PC-12

Well that was the first time I have ever been able to get to my destination in the PC-12 without the FPS going below 10 so it seems like for me at least they have fixed that horrible issue. Ground handling was also much improved. Was a 90 min flight across NZ to NZQN to the payware airport from iniscene.

First flight post-update: CTD 10 minutes in. Hopefully a one-off.

One oddity is the engine panel screen is very dark and I cant brighten it up at all

Small dials down to the right on the centre pedestal.

Turn OFF Experimental/NanoVG for XML Gauges

Just did a quick test:

Good

  • Ground handling and takeoff distance much better
  • Frame rates good, but not doing a long flight right now

Not good

  • Switching from NAV1 to NAV2, now stuck on NAV2, will not go back to NAV1
  • Using GPS mode, the CDI now deflects left (yay!), but the desired track can’t decide and keeps flipping several times per second.
  • The TDS GTN750Xi has very few clickable spots and is basically unusable

I rebooted the sim and had the same result, so it’s not a bad instance, there’s something broken. I’m wondering if there’s a conflict with the New Working Title GNS series?

I had the TDS clickspot problem too. Uninstalling the WTT GNS fixed it.

Additional:
When the GTN750Xi is activated, the GNS430 buttons are unclickable
HDG NAV APR buttons do not work

At 16,500’, 7100lbs GW, and -21° OAT, torque set for 36.4 PSI, FF 444, I’m getting 207 KIAS, 262 TAS
The book says I should get 269 TAS and 509 FF at that torque setting in those conditions.
To reproduce the specified performance, I have to increase torque to 39.4 and FF to 480. ITT is nice at 764.

So we’re really close!

The airplane really wants to run away from me on the ground… in low idle I have to ride the brakes. Is that something you are seeing too? Or do I have something set up wrong…

These planes are ridiculously fast and sometimes the pilots have to beta during taxi. I am not a pilot nor do I claim to be. I will try out this plane again after I fix the sim from stuttering all the time.

Just to cfm the Fuel Pumps should be on Auto right? As i have two green messages for L and R Fuel Pump during the flight

Two observations during the first flight after the update:

Frames/Performance…not happy with it on my side…around 30`s …somtimes it goes up to 38 then back to 24. I didnt have such problems with other aircraft

And the aicraft didnt hold the selected altitude…always a steady climb/desecend as you can see on teh screenshot

They need to implement beta - lots of turboprops have this issue. King Air comes to mind as well.

Unbelievable that they did not fix the instruments. When I change the option to NanoVG off, the whole display goes dark. Tried to reinstall the plane, tried restart (but the NanoVg switches back to ON by default). No help.
The MEL says this aircraft is AOG. Thx for nothing - and I am surely not downgrading windows for this.

To be honest and this is only my personal point of view…I`m not so happy with this patch…I get the feeling this patch was again not tested correctly and was more or less a “we must release something patch”…but may be only my personal feeling. Looking forward to the other Pilatus Relase…

This is not a solution in the long run - Carenado has to make the aircraft “22H2” fit

This has nothing to do with the PC-12

ok, then everything is clear - it still worked for me under 21H2… Carenado also knows this and recommends that its customers reverse the last Win update - and that is an impertinence from my point of view.
