Hi can anyone tell me if its a bug on the g1000 Carenado or the Asobo g1000 is better the Asobo avionics u can see the runway and mountains when they are in front of you the Carenado is always brown.
Asobo Cessna has Synthetic Vision; Carenado does not.

You might try this mod… not sure if it will work with the Carenado A/C but maybe? It’s a game changer for the G1000 equipped aircraft. You’ll be able to correctly load approaches, just like real life!

The Carenado c182’s g1000 has synthetic vision disabled. I believe there is a simple way to turn it on. I don’t know if the Carenado’s files are encrypted, but if they aren’t, just find the aircraft’s folder and navigate to Panel/panel.xml. Open the file and you should see a line that says something like this : “ <Synthetic vision false” (can’t type it properly because this thing detects it as HTML). Just change it to true and it should have synthetic vision. This method worked for the default aircraft, but I’m not sure it will for the Carenado.

Lazy? You will have a hard time finding a real 182 with Synthetic Vision in it.

In the mod you can turn the synthetic vision on and off. They have done a really good job so far. Really great to see how much the community has contributed.

I don’t think that’s really fair. They have released two updates for the 182 already, and as I understand it, they are simulating a G1000 without synthetic vision. They would have actually had to have disabled it to do this, which is more effort than doing nothing at all as the Asobo default G1000 has it, so hardly lazy.

Carenado have been over this before on their FB page
The avionics combination on their CT182T cannot support synthetic vision due to the KAP140 autopilot, implementing this feature on the model therefore would be simply inaccurate.

I think perhaps they have modeled an older A/C. IIRC Carenado has offered this model since FS2004. If that’s true, Synthetic Vision wasn’t available then.
