Actually, there are two ways of locking the tailwheel, by pressing Shift+g (no animation) or by manually clicking the lock handle on the left side of the cockpit next to the trim. Both work but if you press shift+G, the animation does not work, you have to press it manually for it to work. In both cases the tailwheels locks, I checked it.
