I fly the TBM mostly and have been using the WT G3000 up until recently when the display has been freezing on me.
Going back to the stock G3000 (in Mugz great TBM mod) I find that everything on my VFR
map is now cartoonishly huge. My airplane appears to be maybe 10 miles long and 4 miles wide. I run native 4k rendered 50% in the sim.
The Designer’s Image of what it should be, now does not seem to be even close to what Players are looking for – but at least it exists, and no longer crashes the sim.
You can’t win them all, or have everything all at once.
There are optional ADDON Maps, that start to address the issue – and stand far more of a possibility of evolving into something that is more acceptable to most, than any attempt Asobo may make to change their VFR “dumbed down” VFR Map.
The fact that there are OPTIONS, is always good !!
Yep. The VFR map that’s part of the WT G3000 package looks as one would expect and even has state borders (US). I haven’t used the stock G3000 in a while so I see this is another something that used to be normal but now isn’t, probably as a result of a bug fix on something completely unrelated
OH… you are talking about the MAP in the GPS, as opposed to the Pull down panel VFR MAP …
The WT G3000 is all “open JS”, so anyone (with the technical know how) should be able to do the same in their own Mod of a GPS … (or as a Pull down VFR map)
The biggest issue I see with the Current MSFS GPS maps, are airspace depiction and identification.
