Cessna 172 without fuel - career mode

Sometimes when starting a flight in career mode, the Cessna 172 has after loading to the sim almost no fuel.

Is there a way to add fuel manually?

Didn’t found a “load fuel” button or anything in the EFB under “fuel” section.

Thank you

Yes. Look for ‘Add fuel’ in the settings and bind it to a spare button/key/combination.
It adds 25% fuel. For immersion I do it while the aircraft is on the stand, but it can also be used in flight for a ‘magic’ emergency (does anyone see a wizard on an eagle?)

As for the bug, yes I don’t think Career flights should commence with inadequate fuel.

This appeared as a new bug for me after I did the latest release last night. I tried adding fuel in the EFB, but the sliders don’t work, so I can’t add fuel from there. This is a bug in my opinion.

I tried your suggestion, but still can’t add fuel by binding “add fuel” to + button on numeric keypad. I’m looking at MFD fuel quantity to see added fuel and the gauge is not showing added fuel. I also checked EFB and no change there either.

Checking binding…

Let’s make sure we are discussing the same setting.
Under ‘Instruments and Systems’ > Fuel >
There are two options to ‘Add Fuel Quantity’ (not sure how they differ, I chose the first one) linking it to a HOTAS button combo, but presumably you can bind it to what you want.

Now let’s try it out…

(goes to Career Mode)

Ok. That didn’t work for me since the patch.

‘Repair and Refuel’ (Under 'Tools > Simulation Shortcuts, DID work, but I’m puzzled why ‘Add Fuel’ has now failed…

I tested it again, rebinding the second ‘Add Fuel’ option, that also failed.
I’m unsure, why that is.

Looks like I’ll be using ‘Repair and Refuel’ in future.
It gives you 100% fuel on the stand (or magically in the air).

That works for me. How you found that solutions amazes me. I would have never looked for it in tools. Thanks

My inability to bind ‘Add Fuel Quantity’ does puzzle me, I’ll keep looking for an answer to that.

For now ‘Repair and Refuel’ will have to do…

Also FYI @tribejagd that the ‘Add Fuel’ solution may be flawed (as above).

Well, I can now add fuel, but it creates another issue: While taxing, I get an Unexpected Error Code: 308.400.00209. I tried restarting the sim four times and same problem occurs every time. Are you experiencing this issue or can you fly?

Never had that issue, sorry.

Same here… I used the fuel shortcut and after a while I get the same error code.
Tryed it several times, everytime costs for plane transfer, everytime no fuel, adding fuel with shortcut and after a while above ground → error code and abort

Finally found a solution that works for me. What I thought was a bug is actually a feature in Update 1.2.7.0. After loading a mission there is there is aircraft Management option. If the aircraft is low on fuel, you must now purchase fuel using credits. If you don’t purchase fuel, but try to refuel any other way, the sim will display an “unexpected error message.” From a realism perspective, you should refuel before flying, and use credits to pay for adding fuel. Thank you Asorbo for this undocument new feature. It only cost me 125,000 credits.

Oh. That would have ben nice to know… :grimacing:
Well done figuring it out.

This is presumably for company aircraft not freelance aircraft?
(I am using freelance still)

No, it is freelance.
