I still have dutch roll on AP. I wasn’t in SU2 beta, and after upated to SU2 I gave it a go and still have the same issue with oscillating. From what I observed YD is inneffective. Is just me? I tried with Cargo variant

Not fixed in 1.5.12 beta
YD has no impact on the roll. The constant roll is around 1.2 degrees left and right.
I checked the rollPID numbers in the ai.cfg for the 208 and the numbers were very strange compared to the other turboprops.
The numbers in the beta 1.5.12 are rollPID = 0.1, 0.5, 0.1, 8.0, 100.0
P is very low
I is high
D is very low
For example this is the numbers for the tbm930
rollPID = 1.5, 0.1, 1.2, 8.0, 100.0
So I made small mod for myself using the numbers below:
rollPID = 1.2, 0.1, 1.0, 8, 100.0
And it fixed the roll issue.
based on previous form, this simple fix will take the devs another 4 years to implement.
Can you give me the file path? I have the standard version pc store.

This really is a joke that its not fixed already. The C208B is not JUST a plane. Its THE plane to use for career mode and also in general for GA geeks a very popular one ![]()

I just did a test flight. It went flawlessly, no stutters no CTDs.
In fact it performed well when climbing and levelling off with AP on, no overshoot.
Going from HDG mode to NAV mode was also a success, approaching the track and locking on to it was quick with no overshoot.
I found no tendency to occilation and instability when cruising, even with moderate crosswind.

Downloaded and dropped into my Community folder. Done three short flights, no issues and working well.
version SU2: Autopilot wrong PID values still results in constant rolling movement - wing waving, shallow but still present. Have bigger effect with time compression.

C208 on directional autopilot is continuously oscilating around its longitudal axis (rolling).
so the 1 line config file player fix for this has been out for HOW MANY SIM UPDATES NOW?
edit: for those wondering, here is the fix:
i’m trying to find ai.cfg in either the streamed or downloaded version of the SU4 aircraft with no success (i’d like to compare it ot the flightsim.to mod to see if it’s changed/been fixed/just kidding).
for reference, the flightsim.to fix edits .\airplanes\asobo_c208b\attachments\asobo\function_exterior\config\ai.cfg.
i would have expected this path/file it to appear in the downloaded version of the aircraft, now that we can actually do that, but it’s nowhere to be seen. is the downloaded version incomplete?
in fact, how would the modder have had access ai.cfg before downloading was possible, since it’s not exposed in the streamed version? i am somewhat confused.
I actually haven’t tested the C208 since SU4, yet. I have been so excited about the improvements overall, that I have found myself flying for long periods in some of my add-ons.
Will report back here as soon as I wake up enough to test the C208!
i had a bad time with it, sadly. it’s still dutch rolling, even with the patch mentioned above. i was going to test it without the patch to see if it was even worse, but i ended up selling the C208B and buying a PC-24.
i’m guessing ai.cfg isn’t visible in the downloaded version because, although we’re “allowed” to download the aircraft now, most of the actual pertinent settings are hidden inside encrypted paks, meaning we can’t fix them ourselves. this still begs the question, “how did the mod maker access ai.cg in the first place?”

Well, the news isn’t all that great. I don’t seem to notice the “dutch rolling” on final ILS approach as I did before, but that time was quite a while ago.
The ground handling though is quite poor. After landing without reverse thrust, it’s a long, long way of locked up brakes before she finally wobbles slightly to a stop.
And it requires constant braking during taxi as the turboprop seems to want to “idle” down to only somewhere between 35-40 MPH without braking action.
This bird is still in need of some TLC.
