• Yes. AP on C208 causes excessive roll. Can develop into Dutch Roll with adverse wind conditions, i.e. heavy tail/crosswind. YD ineffective at managing simple conditions. YD seems to be not implemented at all.

I just flew the C208 Caravan on two Career Mode missions and it’s really not a fun plane to fly. It seems to require footbrakes half-depressed on the ground just to keep it around 15kts. That’s with throttle(?) and props at idle/min. The autopilot is completely unusable as it tends to just throw you around and get you from level and stable flight into a stall within seconds of activation. That’s with the Yaw Damper either engaged or disengaged.

This is coming from the C172 whose autopilot (and general handling) is a real joy.

edit - Retracted statement about taxi speed issues. Thanks @Exp232 for clarifying that I was using the wrong fuel condition.

Here’s another video of the Dutch Roll issue using more real world condition while on a career flight:

Make sure your fuel cutoff is on the Low position. Fuel Cutoff High is far too much power for taxiing.

Ah! That’ll teach me for not reading the manual

Will redact from my earlier post. Thanks so much!

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged

I’m seeing the same phenomenon with the C208B. Excessive rolling regardless of whether you’re using NAV or HDG. Winds were ~11 knots from 270 relative. Interestingly, when the winds slightly shifted to about 260 relative, the oscillations drastically reduced. They were still there, but the cycle rate dropped to 1 cycle every 11 seconds.

Winds dropped to ~7 @ 250 relative and the high oscillations returned.
EDIT: Winds dropped to 4-5 knots from the same relative bearing and oscillations virtually disappeared.
