cessna citation cj4…ILS approach-perfect landing, upon touch down … cut power and then the aircraft goes full power on its own. Can someone explain to me how to avoid the aircraft from initiating full power at touch down. Thank you.
Ive flown the cj4 about 50 hrs now. Ive never had this happen. Ill fly a circuit tonight and see what happens to me. Its been a few months since ive touched it.
I use to have a problem similar to that, though it typically presented as I was taxiing. It’s been so long that I can’t remember the exact steps needed to fix it, but pretty sure it was related to one of the accessibility settings regarding braking or throttle. I know it’s not much to go on, but hopefully it gets you going in the right direction.
i just did a taxi, circuit and landing. Everything working normal here. Going to need more information.
thank you. I will check out those settings.
Thanks. I’ll keep digging
I can’t seem to find a solution to this problem. It keeps happening about 75% of the time. I would really like to resolve this issue. I went through all the options and found nothing. Could this be something in the preparation of my flight planning? Is there anyone out there that had / has this same issue? Thank you in advance.
Do you have AI piloting turned on?
The work around I found was too bind the autopilot disconnect to a key/button and then use this instead of just deselecting the autopilot.
I believe when there is a missed approach programmed into the flightplan and you just deselect the autopilot it tries to do a go around.
Alternatively make sure there is no go around programmed and it may work with just deselecting the autopilot.
I set all the piloting options to Custom and disabled all options, deselected the AI autopilot, deleted missed approach route from the flight plan (which I always did) and tried the same route twice and this seemed to have resolved the issue. I will keep monitoring the situation and hopefully this has resolved my issue. Thanks for your advice and assistance with this. Gratefully, gratefully appreciated (one less frustrated pilot).
So far so good
I’m glad it worked out.
Me too. Thanks again ![]()
