Cessna Citation - engine shutdown

Hello,

I’m experiencing a spontaneous engine shutdown when flying the Citation Longitude. I’m below max speed, engines RPM & TTI are in green, yet somehow both engines shut down.

Any explanation for this? Are there any good manuals for the citation?

best regards
Pieter

out of fuel?

no, thats is not it. After a while i can restart the engines using ctrl-e, but they shut off again after a few minutes…

That sounds like a Mixture problem.

Yeah, there’s no mixture on the Ciitation. But if you have a control mapped to mixture and you so much as breathe on it while in the jet, it will shut down the engines. Does the same on the TBM and the other jets too.

thx, that could be it

An easy fix. Save a secondary profile for your throttle / HOTAS. That’s what I do. I have one profile that includes Mixture and Prop RPM for aircraft that require them, and another where those 2 controls aren’t mapped. Typically that’s for the TBM and jets. I switch my profile when I swtich plane types. Haven’t had that issue since I started doing that several weeks back.

mine jumps around when on auto pilot

Yes, unmapped the mixture axis & no more problems with the engine. Thanks a lot

I just had the same issue, everything shutdown when approaching my destination. There was IMC so I crashed. Will try the mixture workaround but this must be a bug somewhere.

For me it was control + v for toggle all fuel valves. Well oops.

I’m having problems with the heading bug. If you move it to the left it disappears. This since the last update.

Anyone experiencing engine shutdown after you hit the ‘esc’ key and then resume your flight? I noticed this on the CJ4.

My engines shut down at take off. No idea how to do mapping mixture

well yes I do and that isn’t an issues, so still having the issue
