I apologise if this has been mentioned already however I have an additional issue with the Longitude that the OP didn’t mention.
I don’t really quite know how to put this but if I “start” my flight with the Longitude “in flight” with a destination airport chosen for some landing practice, it always places the aircraft in the air with the engines OFF. This results in me madly attempting to start them to recover the situation. I quickly have to go to cockpit view and hit the start button of the OFF engines. If you are quick the engines spool up just in time and you save the day.
I think the same thing happens if you set a departure and destination, get in the air and then zoom to a later part of the flight, say the decent phase. When you are transported to the later part of the flight the engines are off.
I have tried with starting a destination only for landing practice in the Cessna 172 and the engine is ON and no issue.
