ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
When zooming out on the longitude ( local files downloaded ) the lod seems broken

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load longitude any airport
  2. Zoom out to make a screenshot
  3. Antenas and a/c details will disapear

This is an existing issue not related to SU3, nor was it indicated as fixed in the release notes.

On the latest SU2 changelog
It’s stating the follow :

" * Fixed AO on the Cessna Citation Longitude

  • Fixed the LODs on the Cessna Citation Longitude
  • Fixed the propeller blur on the Cessna Citation Longitude
  • Added parallax windows on the Cessna Citation Longitude
  • Added the registration number on the Cessna Citation Longitude
    "

LOD should been fixed as per changelog

This explanation could be the reason: SU3 Beta FINALLY able to download default aircraft, airports and scenery! - #29

If you don’t download the aircraft and just have it streamed, do you still experience the issue ?

Where is the propeller on the Longitude??

Someone probably just used a standard template for the Change Log and didn’t QA it. Looking at the lengthy number of changes across the board, I’m not surprised.

That might be fan blade blur in engines.

That is not correct, unfortunately. As you can see in the changelog, these entries appear in the Passive Aircraft section of the changelog, thus apply only to the optimized lower detail ground and AI aircraft models.

Where was the propeller blur before on the Passive Traffic Longitude? I didn’t see too many of this model, but that would have definitely stood out, even with bad LOD popping.

I don’t know, but your response seemed to reinforce the poster’s thinking that these changelog entries should apply to the main model.

Since they are in the Passive Aircraft category, they do not, so I just wanted to make sure everyone understood before getting the incorrect impression.

I’m not reinforcing anything. Change Logs have errors in them and we on Staff try to find them and correct them back to CMs. So my comment stands based on previous experience. Shrug.

OK. Well, then to make it perfectly clear to all, I can definitively say as the responsible party for the player Longitude that while those items could potentially but not necessarily be in error for the Passive Aircraft Longitude, those changelog items do not apply to the player Longitude as no art changes were made or received for SU2.
