Hi. I just want to report that Chamonix Airport from France is COMPLETELY MISSING from the game. It’s truly sad really. It was the best Airport in my experience. Please reintroduce it in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

What is the ICAO code/location for that airport ?. I cannot find an airport for that city.
Chamonix does not have an airport. Nearest would be Geneva over an hour away. Maybe this is the airport they are thinking of - Aéroport Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc. LFLB? 1hr 29 mins from Mont Blanc/Chamonix (by car).
This looks just like one of the airports in a career mission for a patient transfer I think in a C208.

Maybe he is looking for LFHM which is the closest regional airport I could find.

I think it’s actually Sallanches Airfield - LFHZ.
There has never been an airport in Chamonix because the valley is very narrow, and it would be difficult to build a runway there. There are, however, several helicopter landing areas. One is at the Chamonix hospital, located south of the town, and the other is at the gendarmerie base (in a place called “Les Bois”), to the north, at the exit of the “Mer de Glace”. There is another at Sallanche hospital.
For nearly 60 years, Sallanches Airfield (LFHZ) was considered Chamonix’s “Mont-Blanc” airport. It was located further down the valley, a little lower than Saint-Gervais, on a sufficiently wide plain. The airport had a 600 m, 17/35 asphalt runway. It was used mainly by general aviation and “Tour du Mont-Blanc” tourist flights. It was reserved for pilots with the “Mountain” qualification.
The airport was closed on September 1, 2020.
Sallanches – Mont-Blanc – ANCIENS AÉRODROMES
In FS2024, it still exists, but it has a “simplified” dirt runway. This may be normal, since this airfield is no longer in operation.
The other airfield in this sector is an altiport, that of Megève LFHM located south of Saint-Gervais.
It is still in operation and in FS2024 it is even a detailed airport (with a star).
On recent ICAO maps, the Sallanches airfield LFHZ no longer appears, only the Megève altiport LFHM remains.

I think the topic author has to be clearer about which he is referring to. But will have to accept the few that remain in the area. I am not sure whether any of those mentioned LFHM or LFHZ are in the flight planner/EFB, I haven’t checked.

In addition: Sallanches LFHZ “Mont-Blanc” airport was closed five years ago.
It is still partially seen in FS2024, but it should rather be completely removed.
The hangars, which were threatening to collapse, were quickly demolished.
The runway and taxiways were also completely demolished three years ago. Currently, nothing remains of this airfield, which has been replaced by a natural area.
RIP LFHZ.
Afterwards, for the “big” platforms, yes, we have Geneva or Chambery, which fortunately, do exist in FS2024.

Sadly Sallanches was closed. Such a good location for an airport. Megeve is probably the closest airport now, but not suitable for many aircraft.
Hopefully someone will remake LFHZ to properly reintroduce it for FS2024.
