I’m not sure if it is worth changing from I78700K to I71277KF. Are there significant improvements in stuttering etc., especially in heavy locations like KBOS…? My GPU is an RTX 2080TI.

Yeah, the 12700K is a substantial step forwards.
You might want to consider a5800X3d, current best CPU for FS2020. Or if you’re in no rush, AMD Zen 4 and intel 13th gen will be out late this year and both should be substantial steps forwards.
But right now, a 12700K is right up there, and close to as good as it gets for this sim.
I went from a 8086k (a binned 8700k) to a 12900k, night and day difference, between the 12700k and 12900k (obviously more cores) but the more cache on the CPU really helps out too. But yes, it would be a pretty decent upgrade.
