Changing the view on monitor to one "eye"

Hi. I’m using a quest 2 on game pass.
I noticed last time I was playing. The view that shows on my monitor is displayed exactly like it is in the VR headset. Split monitor showing left and right eye. I tried looking at the menu’s and mucking about a bit last night but couldn’t see if there was an option to show just a single eye or a combination of both eyes If there even is one?.
I did notice you can do this on the steam VR toolbar bit that pops up but as soon as you un pause the game it goes back to the dual screen.
Only reason I would like a single image is because my son likes to come watch me play sometimes.

Only reasonable way I’ve found so far is to go to the SteamVR mini window, menu > show VR view, then drag it to a separate virtual or physical monitor

Thanks for the reply. TBH pretty much the responce I was thinking I wouId get. But I though I would ask in case I was missing something. I don’t have another monitor but maybe worth looking into. Cheers!
