ChasePlane for MSFS... It's happening! [by Parallel 42]

A short demo what is not working

For me the drone views were facing the plane the one time I’ve tried, but I would imagine this might also depend on the specific place/airport.

Either way, I finally can see the pilot in my planes, so I’m super happy

Simply update ChasePlane to the latest build on the website. There is a fix for this in the latest builds. An email went out to all ChasePlane owners with the changelog.

ChasePlane and Flow Pro worked great this weekend with SU5! So happy to be able to use Flow Pro again. Really no problems though I’m hoping they resolve the underground camera issue that CP has soon.

I have a mouse with 2 additional buttons which i would lije to assagin to recenter and pause headtracking. But Chaseplane won’t let me. In the SIM settings the additional buttons are visible but in chaseplane the button does not work. Is there a trick? Or is it a limitation?

Both work fine!.
Now we just need P42 to fix the problem with the camera below ground.
Although I suspect this is due to a bug in the simulator.

Figured it out. Had to press the mouse buttons for a longer time

I’m really enjoying Chase Plane in SU5 in both 2D and VR but I have a question. I fly the Fenix A3XX aircraft and use GSX to fill them with passengers. In all the views in Chase Plane I can see those passengers while flying except in any of the cabin views. If you have an external view, you can see them loaded through the windows. On the ground while loading you can go into the cabin and see the passengers getting on but once in the air, the cabin views show empty seats. Is this a bug or just a limitation of GSX/Chase Plane connection?

I thought chaseplane was incompatible in vr

It’s not officially supported in VR, but I haven’t had an issue with it.

You need to keep the cockpit doors open to have passengers in the cabin. Once you close the doors, passengers disappear. It’s how GSX devs made it to reduce impact on fps.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to set a pilot view locked to the nearest airport as we have with the default smartcam view? I’m trying to do it without success.

Just a quickie…. Is there anyway to get the 3rd person avatar to show when using Chaseplane?

Yes. When you enter Avatar Mode, ChasePlane is automatically deactivated.

If you have a key assigned to the “Cockpit/External View Mode” function, you can switch between first and 3rd person views without any issues.

Thanks very much!
