Are you sick of the same dozen or so expressions people say during flightseeing missions? As a proof of concept, I made a simple prompt for ChatGPT where the POI and city could be changed out based on the mission parameters. Here’s what it looks like:
I know that a lot of folks would rather the tourists just shut their yaps, but I love the idea of hearing specific information about the POIs we’re circling. Obviously, hand-writing scripts for every POI would be impossible, but that’s the sort of thing LLMs excel at. All of the dialog audio is streamed from Azure anyways, so adding an extra step of pulling some unique lines from an LLM instead of rehashing the same old ones over and over again would be pretty darn easy. Would be a neat way to learn more about the areas you’re flying over, as well as keep the game fresh and fun.
Doubt anything like this would make it into the game through first party support, but I wonder how hard it would be to mod career mode to do something like this. What do you think?
