Checking for updates? No, we're way past that

Same here , bugged and then stuck on update at relaunch

Same here in Slovakia. I restarted the startup many times and msfs still checks for updates and after a long time MSFS was immediately master of CTD. Terrible experience with Microsoft. I will not buy 2024…

I managed to get in after disconnecting my internet on the Check for updates screen and reconnecting it after clicking on the warning message.

Will try to launch a flight now.

Edit:

And CTD when trying to select a livery in the World Map view.

Same here in France

Wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. You all broke 2020 again. Congrats.

Same here, in Czechia. Seems to be a global issue… :frowning:

EDIT: Infinite Checking for updates. When discinnection from the internet, able to get to the home screen. After reenabling the connection, CTD after a while. Must be a server issue.

Already being discussed elsewhere.

For real, I would love an explanation with some substance detailing what broke, why it broke, what you all did to break it, and what you are doing to fix it. Not just the vague “we have fixed it” silliness. If I take my car to the shop, I expect the same from my mechanic.

Yup, it usually takes 10-15 minutes checking for updates. It’s so annoying that this hasnt been fixed yet.

But today, its not loading at all. Servers seem to be down or something. Hopefully when they fix it, they’ll fix it taking forever to check for updates.

I’m used to just a minute or less of CFU when there are no actual updates. This is new to me, this spinning circle of trash. Azure is great

UK. MS Store Version. Got passed the “Checking for updates” then loading screen 60-70% CTD.

MS / Asobo:
give us a possibility, to bypass this annoying “checking fur updates” stuck stituation.
We have purchased MSFS 2020 to use it on our schedule, not on yours!

Neither will I!

It’s Saturday here on the west coast. Who does this on a weekend?

The realism of this sim is astonishing…

In real life, when you finally have a time slot to go to the aeroclub after a week of hard work, there’s often something in the way that prevents you from going airborne, like bad weather or whatever mechanical problem.

This kind of frustration is incredibly well reproduced in MSFS. Well done Asobo.

the bigger the problem the faster the response i suppose?

Ah good. I’m not the only one. Guess the stuff is down on a saturday evening.

I am flying in 2024 without any issue
