“Checking for Updates” screen shown for too long

Do you have any add-ons in your Community folder? If yes, please remove and retest before posting.
Before latest updates the community folder was no problem so it should now be neither.

Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

Description:
The “Checking for Updates” screen shows too long. It lasts one minute and 20 sec.

Core i9 10850 Cpu, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1060 graphics card

OK I am also getting this since the last update.

Get the Checking for updates screen and the circle spins for about 50 seconds then the circle stops and the screen remains stuck for an additional 50 seconds until it moves on and starts loading.
Takes 1min 40s total to get from start of checking for updates screen to getting the blue loading bar.
Never had this before. Running the sim on its own dedicated M.2 NVMe drive. Rest of the loading process is very fast.

Yeah there is now a pause there. About 20 or so seconds wait that wasn’t there before.
