Easy question with hopefully an easier answer.
When in the World Planner, I often choose a gate at my departng airport that is occupied by an AI aircraft. When I spawn, I’m on top of another plane. How can I prevent this or is it just a roll of the dice? Seems to happen to me a fair bit. Am I missing something in the airport map like gate parking with a different colour dot to suggest an AI aircraft will be parked there?

For me, I fly 737-700 freighter so I always try parking area, normally no one parked next to me. You may have some weird setting enabled as I have never setup flight using gate and landed on another plane. Not sure how that happens.
Fogot to mention I do use an addon for my AI traffic…umsure of the name right now. I’m suspecting this is the difference between us?
What addon are you using? If you’re using FSLTL, there’s an option that will get rid of AI aircraft if it’s in close proximity after a certain amount of time (this amount of time can be customised).
Not 100% sure. I’ll have to check. I’m on Xbox, so that should narrow it down.

I have this addon and unfortunately there is no solution. It was like this before and it got worse after SU11 and the traffic changes.
The only interest of the LVFR is to fill more and more airports with these static aircraft to get the addon updated and more people buy. Solving this problem of gates and parking is not a priority for them.
It’s wasted money.

Disappointed to hear there’s no solution. Like I said, I end up being double parked a fair bit.
Last night, for example, it happened and I asked for pushback and it seemed like the tug set itself up on the AI plane. Long story short, the pushback didn’t work. I has to light up the engines and reverse thrust out of it. Extremely frustrating.
