I can remember being “Fully Immersed” in the simple very early wire frame Flight Simulators.
We were amazed, and there was little or any complaints
Now we have
and a mass of unhappy and complaining people, finding fault with ever blade of grass by the runway !!!
Is this really what the Flight Simulator community has been reduced to, when they have “NEVER has it so Good” ?
i have random CTD, odd stutters now and then and draw distant issues then and again but im telling you now…everytime i fly anywhere im still blown away with the fact im flying around a very beautiful crafted game, issues or not, nothing but love here

And thanks to everyone else, some great replies. I laughed at the “blades of grass” comment as well, so true! Sure, every game/sim has some short comings but visuals is hardly the hill I would choose to die on in MSFS! Ha! Great comparison shots too. @N6722C
Cheers, @MLY49, so true. Whether taking a quick trip in the cub and landing on your old high-school football field for pure fun…or following all the checklists and doing a long-haul in the DC-6, what we have now and the options available are just mind blowing.
@jfry050386 I have had some as well, but it’s always some hickup and move on with my life - start another flight and see it through. The visual rush I get when approaching a new airport, gazing down at the truck-stops, town and fields before landing is so genuine. I love landing in new places, shutting down the plane, the sim, and opening up Google Maps at this new place and seeing where someone would get a cup of coffee.

The part with the a320 and you hear the automated ‘50’ gave me goose bumps.
I was there from the beginning with SubLogic FlightSimulator ll. It makes me cringe when I hear people complaining about MSFS nowadays.
Back then, it would take 10 mins to load the game and half the time it wouldn’t even work. When it would work, half the time the game would crash and coming in for a landing was always an adventure as, the system would pause at threshold as the airport graphics loaded. Then you’d go from 11fps to 4fps and clench your cheeks in not only trying to land the plane but to fight the fps loss. 
Even with all of these problems I always came back begging for more. We’re so privileged with this iteration of this marvelous franchise.
Keep up the great work and I HOPE that you have more for us in the future!
I think that BECAUSE it looks so real now, that people are complaining about some of the little details being off. How good is it that we’ve gotten to this?
I taught myself to fly on FS4 and spent thousands of hours as a kid on it, until I was able to move onto real aircraft - and I still use the sim to help with renewal prep even now!
It’s a different world today, where babies are spoiled with a brand new smartphone the second they leave the womb. A smartphone that is a supercomputer compared to those old days.
