The developer’s web site looks poor and page links result in 404 errors. Not a good indication of a polished aircraft.
Will it be on Xbox as well?
Not positive - they’ve confirmed it will be on the MSFS Marketplace (they’ve set a release date of May 1st but that’s likely for direct purchase/external from the Marketplace stores and would release a few weeks after on the Marketplace) so that’s a good sign for Xbox, but not a guarantee.
The site is being maintained currently. for a long time it was down and im currently working on it
Yes. Releasing May 8th for 3rd party stores and marketplace PC&XBOX
Great video, especially the gimmicks, but flying the aircraft will be the most used feature.
Trying to get my head around why I would regularly fly this rather than the default Longitude. Cockpit windows look larger for flight seeing?. The EFB over the default Microsoft version?. Shorter runway take off and landing requirements?.
Looking at this video I’m amazed people actually bought this plane. I really really can’t understand it.
Let’s start with the aircraft:
The CJ3 is almost identical to the CJ4 a tad lighter a tad less range it can use slightly shorter runways, in all these figures we are talking about some feet here and there really minimal differences.
The big difference is the Garmin avionics.
But with exactly the same Garmin avionics the sim already has the longitude that is faster and has longer range.
So why would anyone want to fly this is a mistery to me but let’s say people like the looks of the CJ4 and the avionics of the Longitude and continue.
Flight model: Did anyone really look at the video? The plane handles as if there wasn’t really a flight model, you point it up 20 or 25 degrees and the plane keeps accelerating which for thes engines is impossible.
Model: The model looks really really weird, the front plates typical of this plane are exagerated to the point of taking a substantial part of the windshield, that’s not the case in the real aircraft, not even close. Other simmers have pointed out this and other details such as the cockpit missing some lights and the landing gear retracting in an incorrect way, those are -in my view- minor details but the front plates, gee, they look disgusting.
Sounds: They are default CJ4 sounds, maybe they tweaked them a little but are the default sounds.
So we have: Wrong flight model, default sounds, default avionics and a not very good model. Price: 30 Euros.
As long as we keep paying these prices for these low quality products things are only going to get worse and worse, we will keep getting this quickly ensambled planes for $25 or more while other devs are taking years to create a better product for about the same price.
Total agree. Won’t be in my hanger.
I’ve been waiting for a biz-jet with Garmin for a while now, since I didn’t buy the all-out premium version of 2020. I thought this would be a nice addition to my hangar.
Nope.
The lighting controls are my biggest gripe at the moment, since I haven’t even put one in the air yet. The beacon comes on with the battery. OK, fine. The strobes and landing/taxi lights have their own switches. Fine. But the only way to turn on the nav lights is to use the L key to turn on every single light in the plane and then use the switches to reset what you don’t want. At this price point, that’s just not acceptable. The changelog for the 1.0.1 patch mentions “improved” lighting, but control of that lighting still needs work.
You should be able to purchase the Longitude in the Marketplace now.
I’ll check when I get home, but I believe you need to have ownership of FS2024 for that to happen.
Well, it seems I’ve at least partially been talking out of my @$$ regarding the lights. Someone at the Outhouse pointed me to a video that demonstrated the lighting controls present in the touch control panels for the G3000 system.
So that just leaves the flight dynamics. Since I don’t know enough about the real thing to judge that, I’ll just say that as long as they’re halfway believable, I’ll keep it. Then I’ll just have to find a way to get my personal registration onto the tail of one of the liveries…
Nothing in 2020 requires you to own 2024 - you can buy it in the Marketplace like any other addon.
Well now - that’s a pleasant surprise! The last time I checked (not that long ago), it wasn’t there. I just picked it up, along with the WT upgrade. The normal price point is a bit high for a “stock” plane, but the current sale price puts it close to what I was saying Asobo should have been selling if at all along.
With this addition, I suspect that my Walter Mitty Air Service Inc. will have a rather successful new business charter service!
