Citation CJ4 Altimeter Freezes Above FL446

Hi,

I’ve encountered a weird bug with the latest version of MSFS2020 (1.22.2.0) and the WT CJ4 0.12.11 and wanted to see if anyone else is seeing this before reporting it to either MSFS or WT.

The altimeter freezes climbing through FL446. I was climbing to the CJ4 max service ceiling of FL450 when I noticed that the altimeter froze at 44,620 feet pressure altitude. I tried trouble shooting by changing the glass cockpit refresh rate from high to medium and then back to high to no avail.

As soon as I descend below FL446, the altimeter starts working again. So for all intents and purposes, my max cruise altitude on the CJ4 on this flight is FL445.

I’m a real world pilot with plenty of experience so I can assure you it’s not pitot heat related as other forum posts are quick to suggest. (Also, pitot heat freeze wouldn’t result in this behavior).

One thing to note is that the nearest altimeter setting near where I’m flying is fairly high (30.46), meaning that at a pressure altitude of FL450, using the local altimeter setting would result in a reading of maybe 2,000 ft+ above the pressure altitude. Not sure if this has to do with the altimeter on the WT CJ4 not working above, say, 47,000 ft.

Any guesses or insight into this?

Thanks,

Yes, there have been reports of this in a few threads.

Anyone with the SU8 beta know if it’s been fixed?
