I really love the Airbus A380 and A350-900 parked at Le Bourget airport. I wish it was an easter egg / hint for what to expect in 2024…
Hello @ZILLNIAZI17,
What you are describing here is a feature in Steam, not Microsoft Flight Simulator. You can disable the screenshot notification and sound effect in your Steam settings as shown in the screenshot below.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
Working just perfect for me.
Thanks a million!
I’ll check that out. However, I am sure I had had that disabled. But Steam got updated yesterday too.
Nonetheless, I’ll check and confirm.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. You guys are the best!
Attempt #1
So just tried to do this update…. The second I clicked on “update” my sim CTD and rebooted my computer…. ???
Attempt #2
Seemed to have installed ok this time…
The cities actually look very nice. Great to see that bridges got some attention too (they don’t have a curtain hanging under them anymore…) and the overall look of the photogrammetry seems a bit more polished than previous photogrammetry cities.
I’m still not so sure about photogrammetry and trees though; because trees in PG look very bad, the current solution is to place bigger trees over the PG ones but that makes them too big. I guess it’s the best they can do at the moment.
All in all, very nice to have this update
I just wonder why these guys concentrate around the same areas, and having even mentioned South America, or Central America!
I hope they’re not afraid to fly there!
The cities are fantastic bodes well for the future - pity water textures in Nantes are broken otherwise love this update
Same here, Nantes water textures are wrong.
There is a small update to one of the World Update (The one that includes France I think) maybe this water problem comes from this because on my sytem no problem with water in Nantes… But I have PG problems with some buildlings in Nantes… some churches (and even the “Tour de Bretagne.”) are half melted (the centers of these buildings are flat, the front and the back are ok but there’s no roof in beetween so it gives a vrey bad shape to it)
Would be nice indeed!
Lots of factors including price/availability of existing data, price/availability of local services to obtain new data (i.e. TIN), governmental regulations/licenses etc. etc.
Nantes water issue can not be replicated.
Delete rolling cache(if used) and restart msfs(after every update).
If you still have the issue, submit a bug report. This is not the area to discuss it further.
It will get looked at more, but I flew this exact area for 40 min at alts ranging from 1000 to 8000 and at various viewing angles.
But don’t they have to deal with the same issues in every country? Granted, the price might differ but there is a huge potential. Just need to see how many airports have been created for the whole region. IMO I think it is just a matter of priority for them, since the customer base is greater, so the small for last so to speak.
Are those cities the only updated things? For some reason for me this sim suddenly runs a lot smoother and the graphs are better. Not every city covered in fog or clouds and yeah, well
So, I checked and both the above settings are unchecked in Steam… but I am still getting that annoying sound like Mario hit his head into something.
Then I checked NVidia settings and they’re turned off too.
I kept checking everywhere as to how that notification and annoying sound appear after each photo is taken, and I could not find a reason or source for the life of me.
This started happening since the City Update 2 yesterday.
Please advise…
Thank you.
Hi @ZILLNIAZI17,
How are you capturing screenshots? There is a built-in screenshot function in MSFS (available only if Developer Mode is enabled), but it doesn’t display a notification nor does it play a sound effect. I suspect whatever is causing this behavior for you is from an external application.
Thanks,
MSFS TEam
Their WUs focused first on where the most people who own Xboxes live.
Except Japan, which is a market Xbox would like to grow.
USA, Western Europe, Australia, Canada, New Zealand… where most Xboxes are sold.
I also like the A380 however, this is not an A380. It’s a pretty poorly designed and unknown shape with the A380 text overlaid on it. The La Bourget bespoke airport is truly poor and disappointing.
