CJ Simulations Eurofighter Typhoon released

I’m on xcloud. I experience heavy flickering in Freelook with all DC/CJ aircraft in MSFS 2024.
Cockpit View works perfectly fine. Does anybody else have this problem?

This is because those aircraft are not yet updated to be 2024 native, there maybe some texture and function issues until this work is completed.
The latest Typhoon update was for 2020 not 24 compatibility

Will wait until that one’s out then!

VR 2020 is heavily Stuttery with this update. Poor FPS leaks inside the cockpit when flying VR. Almost unusuable in VR now. Needs some VR work to maker this great again. Apart from this, the texturing have been improved massivly.

Hi everyone, i’m attaching here a never expiration link to our Discord channel.

Best regards.

Update in the MP today. Anyone know what’s in the changelog? (also got new versions of the R-Fal)

@CodenameJack447

I recently installed the new native Eurofighter Typhoon for MSFS 2024. After completing some test flights, I have encountered some issues that hopefully can be corrected in the next update.

Aircraft: Eurofighter Typhoon (MSFS 2024 Native Version)

Developer: CJ Simulations

Aircraft Version: v1.3.3

Release Date: 03/06/2026

1. Audio Issues

1.1 Canopy Open/Close Audio Desync

Description: The canopy audio is out of sync during the opening animation. While the closing sound is timed correctly, the opening sound does not play until the canopy animation has completely finished.

Expected Behavior: The open sound effect should trigger simultaneously with the start of the opening animation.

1.2 Missing APU Sounds

Description: The Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) is completely silent. There is no audible audio for APU startup, continuous running, or shutdown, even with all main engines off and no ambient cockpit noise.

Expected Behavior: APU startup, running, and shutdown audio loops should be audible from both the cockpit and exterior when active.

1.3 Cockpit Oral Warning Volume Switch Non-Functional

Description: The rotary/switch for controlling the volume of cockpit oral warnings does not function or alter the audio levels.

Expected Behavior: The switch should be interactable and adjust the volume of the aircraft’s voice/oral warning systems.

2. Systems & Avionics Bugs

2.1 Fuel Tank External Model Desync & STORS Page Error

Description: External fuel tanks completely disappear from the aircraft model when their individual fuel quantity drops to approximately 027. They instantly reappear if the aircraft is refueled mid-air. Additionally, on the STORS page, these tanks are displayed in blue, but the interactive click-spot to enable them is black instead of the expected green (which normally denotes the store is physically present on the aircraft).

Expected Behavior: Jettisonable fuel tanks should remain visually attached to the wing/fuselage stations until intentionally jettisoned by the pilot, regardless of internal fuel level. The STORS page indicators should accurately reflect their physical presence with green click-spots.

2.2 Center PFD Map Display - Incorrect Air Traffic Altitudes

Description: The TCAS/air traffic display on the center PFD map consistently reports incorrect altitudes for surrounding traffic, pinning almost all nearby aircraft at roughly 10,000 to 11,000 feet regardless of their actual altitude.

Expected Behavior: The map display should accurately track and display the live altitude data of nearby multiplayer or AI traffic.

3. Flight Model & Performance

3.1 Vertical Climb Performance Deficit

Description: When configured in a “clean” external state (no external stores) with 50% internal fuel, the aircraft experiences a significant performance deficit during vertical climbs. It struggles to maintain energy, whereas the real-world aircraft is capable of maintaining a 90-degree vertical climb in this configuration while continuing to accelerate.

Expected Behavior: Adjust thrust/drag coefficients in a clean, lightweight configuration to allow positive acceleration during a sustained 90-degree vertical climb.

4. Textures & Visuals

4.1 Base Livery Colorization (Too Dark)

Description: The default military grey texture appears significantly darker than it should be, particularly during low-light conditions (dawn, dusk, and overcast weather). When parked next to static Typhoon models (e.g., in IM Scenery’s EGXC Coningsby add-on), the live model is noticeably darker. (Note: While the static models may be slightly too bright, the MSFS 2024 native model appears darker compared to the previous MSFS 2020 version).

Expected Behavior: Fine-tune the Albedo/PBR textures or material properties of the base livery so the aircraft shade looks accurate across all simulator lighting states.

5. Livery Requests / Suggestions

5.1 Legacy RAF 17 Squadron Livery

Description: Requesting the return of the legacy RAF 17 Squadron paint scheme, which was a personal favourite (as I have a history with them) and most likely a favorite among users in previous iterations.

5.2 “Plain” Standard RAF Livery (No Squadron Identifiers)

Description: Requesting the addition of a clean, standard, “operational” Royal Air Force livery. Many real-world Typhoons operating out of bases like RAF Coningsby and RAF Lossiemouth frequently fly without specific squadron markings.

Details: This should be a bare-bones operational scheme featuring only the standard low-visibility RAF roundels and the classic red/blue fin flash flash on the tail—completely omitting any specific squadron emblems or spine/tail identifiers. NOTE: Please note that these observations are submitted in the spirit of helping to refine this fantastic aircraft. A few of these issues (such as the texture shading or traffic altitudes) could potentially be influenced by local simulator setups, console-specific rendering, or conflicts with third-party scenery packages. Thank you for your hard work and ongoing support for the Typhoon!

I also tested the new version with a friend. Unfortunately, the multiplayer visibility has dropped dramatically to below 0.3 miles.

Hello and thank you for the report.

A patch should be released this week to address the first few points on your list, especially those related to the canopy sound, the APU, and the general sounds not working in multiplayer. Except for point 1.3, which I’m not sure is related to whether it’s something that has stopped working or a personal request from you (that is, I’m not aware that the aural warning sounds were ever adjustable in previous versions), and I also don’t know which knob you’re referring to.

Regarding point 2, we’ve already readjusted it so that the tanks remain visible after being emptied, and the logic in the displays has also been corrected (this problem also affected the R-FAL).

As for point 3, concerning the flight model, we need to investigate the source of the power deficit before releasing a patch for it.

Regarding point 4, since it’s a native version, MSFS2024 handles lighting and rendering differently. We need to perform calibrations, but this takes time.

Regarding point 5, I consider this more of a personal request than a bug, but we will take it into consideration for the future.

In response to the other user: we’ve already noticed that MSFS2024 is more restrictive with LODs and that the aircraft can disappear at a shorter distance compared to the 2020 version (this affects all products, from aircraft to even airports). We are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

Best regards.

Thanks for the update — appreciate you taking the time to go through everything.

On point 1.3, I’m not completely sure if that function worked in the 2020 version, so that might be on me. The knob I meant is on the bottom‑left panel with the COM volume controls, labelled MSSL.

Regarding the flight model, just as a reference point, the aircraft should be producing around 20,000 lb of thrust per engine full reheat, so I’m glad it’s something you’re already investigating.

Good to hear the fixes for the sounds, tanks, and displays are already underway, and I understand the flight model and lighting will take more time. Thanks as well for considering point 5 even if it’s more of a personal request.

I’m aware of the discord response aswell, I just sent it on both platforms incase.
