The sim allows you to request a GPU for the CJ4. One does appear and parks next to the aircraft but apparently the battery is still in use and still drains. Is this a bug or am I missing a way to switch to an external power source?
I didn’t see anything in the manual, and the few topics about the GPU don’t ask this question and are closed.

Hmmm … I just jumped back in the CJ4 after a long absence. I haven’t flown it since using the Working Title mod before AAU1. Now with AAU2 using the integrated CJ4 (without the Working Title mod), I’m not finding the option to turn on ground power. Previously when parked in a spot with GPU available, you would turn it on in the FMC from the IDX → Page 2 → MOD SET → Ground Power Unit option. Now I can no longer find the MOD SET menu nor any equivalent. Has the ability to turn on ground power been removed? Or is there another way to get to it?
The MOD SET option used to be in the left LSK3 (line select key) spot. See orange box below

@TJTurner - I poked around on the Working Title Discord channel and found some discussion regarding ground power. What you describe is meant to work, but sounds like it doesn’t (i.e., the battery continues to drain) at least at the time of this article (see “What happened to ground power?”) dated 2023-04-13

Thank you for the confirmation. I’ve never heard of Bad Casserole, is this site directly related to Working Title?
I had considered just turning on an engine, but at the time I knew it was going to take a while before I’d be ready for take off and didn’t want to burn fuel. I later learned that fuel is also burning too quickly, as for the same flight I had more than enough fuel to reach my destination to the Galapagos Islands from Ecuador, but both engines burned out from no fuel 80 miles from the airport.
Hopefully they can get the bug fixed.

No idea who Bad Casserole is (and I haven’t read their full “Random thoughts from Neil” synopsis), but it was a link they provided in the Working Title Discord discussion on this topic and so I chose to share it here
Agree, I hope this gets remedied. It seems to be a badge of honor for CJ4 pilots to not need ground power and so for this reason they may not be in a hurry to fix it. Personally, I’m addicted to ground power for this aircraft as I tend to spend too much time on the ground in prep. So was surprised to find this option no longer available. The power is free (in the sim) and so why not make it available

I’ve just run into this ground power issue with the CJ4, as this post already states the MOD SET option has changed. The working title user guide shows this page with lines across the text indicating as such. There was also a simbrief option in here I think- Is ground power now in sim by contacting atc etc. Thanks.
