Classic Cessna C172C (1962) in both Tricicle and Tail-Dragger configuration

I would love to see this ancient Cessna in sim.

  • Steam Gauge
  • Lever Flaps ( final version before electrical flaps were added in D model ).
  • No rear windows ( box fuselage ) - unlike all successor models.
  • Primer

Optionally with small Garmin GPS could be acommodated, similar to the 172SP Steam Gauge variant.

My dad has two of these in both configurations and some more vintage GA would be nice.

With career mode support, it would also be far cheaper as a starter plane compared to the newer C172N/SP models - by at least half the price for used.
Im guessing 20000cr-300000cr used - never available as “new”.

Great idea - even if not for Career Mode, I would like a faster option than the C152 that does NOT have GPS. Navigate like in the old days. And put a decent lights in the instruments. Sometimes I fly the DC3 but almost every instrument in the cockpit was too dark and hard to read w/o constantly zooming in.

Some have a primitive - prehistoric no-map GPS in them ( no waypoints, and usually no map - unless modern GPS has been added ) - with and without - the cockpit layout is almost identical to SP Cessna - but there are variations in radio/nav setup .
