Haha, no convincing needed! Part of the job description is escalating old bugs that are still present but might have been missed. Old bugs actually get escalated quite often 
In fact, I first contributed to this bug report in Nov '21 because I wanted to use Lens Correction but it ruins Click Spot alignment (a loooong time before I became a Mod)!
It looks like it should be a relatively easy fix too. The same translations that are applied to the pixels need to be applied to the click spots, or the click spot positions need to be calculated after the Lens Correction has been applied.
