Clickspots Knobs in the Cockpit (Push & Pull)

Hey guys,

I´m not sure, if this is the right place, but I would assume it, well it´s not a “classical” bug, more something I´ve observed and what imo would be worth to talk and discuss about.

Some of the planes here in the sim, do have systems (instruments etc.), which need to be operated by pushing, or pulling a knob. Best subject here is the Airbus MCP Panel, or just some gauges to set the actual altimeter, or the other way round set it to standard air pressure.

From my perspective, it is really hard to find the correct click spot on these knobs to get the up, or down arrow, especially if there are turbulences. I mean what should this up/down arrow? This doesn´t make sense at all, if you need to push, or to pull a button, right?

So why is there no option to get this by e.g. LEFT MOUSE KEY = Push / RIGHT MOUSE KEY = Pull ?
This would make totally more sense, instead for looking around for an up/down arrow, struggling to handle while in flight.

Let me know what you think about.

I put in a Trouble Report to the Zendesk concerning trying to find the spot to click the “rotate arrow” on a knob while the plane is jumping around and the mouse cursor is sitting still because you are not moving it (you are clicking).

And once the arrow is selected (has focus) you should not loose
focus while increasing/decreasing the variable because the plane is jumping around.

Hi @XxTheOneX83,
I have moved your topic into #self-service:wishlist as that category is for requesting features or changes.

There is a very similar topic in wishlist for the G1000:
https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/allow-keybinds-for-all-g1000-soft-keys-knobs-buttons/257498

Since your topic is more “generalized”, I’ll move it. I’ve also altered your topic title and added some tags.

Please also submit to zendesk under the feeback or request a new feature drop-down:
