It‘s time for a change. Asobo just released the World Update Japan. It‘s very special and looks amazing and that it‘s for free is the best thing. But i think it‘s the wrong time for such an Update. For now i dont need more content, i Played FsX with airports and terrain which was as bad that you can‘t compare it to FS2020. Anyway i got in the cockpit of my good old Dash8 or A320.
We and Asobo should focus on the most reasonable part to play the flight simulator. To takeoff and Land with a smile and enjoy the flight. So they have to terminate bugs/issues which belong to aircrafts, fluid dinamics, wind, weather etc. Nobody cares about how the oceon looks like when you are climbing through 20.000 feet.
They should make a break with content updates for 4 to 6 months and focus on the main problems.
It takes time and i understand every pilot getting angry and frustrated with FS2020. Heads up, a time will come when we can say that we were a part of forging an awesome Simulator.
(For sure they want to be attractive for arcade players and Not only simmers)
Great idea. Just need to get the team of artists and 3D modellers who do those world updates to learn advanced aerodynamics and physics coding in C++ first. Might take 7 years to get to the level required to help develop a world simulation of this scale. So if you don’t mind waiting for world updates, that’s a good idea.
Or alternatively, let the artists and 3D modellers to their job while the programmers do theirs.
I tried the tour of Japan last night and the downgrade was so visible, trees and buildings jumping in and out at close range, this used to be so smooth?
There is 2 patch per months for fix, not sure what the vote will add more, logically you can’t get faster then 2 week gap time-frame, it’s already borderline. The content have nothing to do with patch fix, it’s outside fix team.
I’m under the impression that the other side is the vocal one.
SteamDB shows an average of around 6,7k current players, Gamestat shows an additional 11k current players on X-Box so I’d say for a majority you’d need a couple thousand players to be complaining. Yet there’s only a couple of hundreds instead, if at all.
Furthermore I assume that more or less happy customers won’t complain on the forums so please explain your perception of the term “majority” aka “we”.
There are also people like me who don’t post much and don’t care to beat a dead horse who are disappointed with how buggy and incomplete the game is you know.
Seriously, without hiring real airliner pilots they never get it right unless they steal aircraft.cfg and airfile from others. FS 2020 claims to be a sim, so they better deliver. I didn’t pay for eye candy or quantity, much rather for quality and the promise of much better aerodynamics, at least that’s what i thought.
