Just gone to fire up the sim (steam)and getting these messages, any ideas?
I had this several months ago. I tried to ignore it and tried later. My fear was I might lose all of my data and progress if I chose poorly.
It never went away, so I eventually picked the newer one (my local copy), and everything seemed fine after that.
Haven’t seen it since.

Exactly my fear as well, I’ll follow your path on this tomorrow unless someone else replies in the meantime saying otherwise. Thanks.
In the properties (right mouse click MSFS) you will get this
STEAM CLOUD should be on; if so you get this
Steam cloud is just storage for managed console info and a side kick for saving pln’s & flt’s in the xbox-cloud environment. (press 2x spacebar in worldmap)
The usefullnes is that your latest configuration changes are always saved in the cloud and moves with your account on any machine where you want to play MSFS.

When I have this issue, I always take my local save as the default, I know that that has been written successfully and contains all the info I need and in my head I map it back to when I logged off of FS.
