Cloud save error (error code:1047... and now 2047)

And of course, you have the marketplace to buy many things, even more expensive than the sim itself, with lots of them that should’ve been included in the base sim. Money, money, money…

I recommend you never work in IT, as you just described my day job.

Update:

@Chewwy94 told me to use Customer Support Team to create a ticket via a link, where I was able to submit my 3 files:

Hopefully this will help this issue getting finally fixed.

I fix many things daily, but get paid for it :slightly_smiling_face:

There is no reliable workarounds you get these like a lottery they should be fixed before any new world updates

We came across this issue when doing our add-on development (PC Users).

We fixed it by:

  1. Run the line “start shell:appsFolder\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App -DeleteCloudSaves” in CMD
  2. Task Manager → End the process “Gaming Services”
  3. Sign out and back into the xbox app

@Passenger2game

Yes, but if you read many posts above, deleting the Cloud save also removes the controllers setup in FS 2024.

Users who did that had to recreate all their controllers settings.

But this helps only for a few days. As you can see in this thread, the problem comes back after a few starts of the simulator. You have to eliminate the root cause, so identify the addon causing the cloud data.

I came across this thread having experienced the above error at the end of flights for roughly the past week.

Entries are saving to the Logbook OK (sitting at just over 4k entries) and I have noticed no issues besides this error persistently appearing.

I’ve tried:

Clearing rolling cache
Clearing Community folder
Reinstalling Gaming Services

Can anyone direct me to the next steps in establishing my individual cause? TIA

I also just started having a random error, tried all the fixes above. But my code is different, 2054

Edit: this was yesterday, today it started working for no reason whatsoever, I did not update anything or delete anything or do any additional steps, it just resolved itself

If Asobo and Microsoft are unable to reproduce or resolve the issue where the message “An unexpected cloud save error occurred and we couldn’t save your file. Error code: xxxx” appears, could we change the notification so that it automatically disappears after two seconds instead of requiring the user to click a button to dismiss it, and display it at the edge of the screen?

I’ve been getting Error 2059 for the past three weeks or so. I’ve done everything up to and including a complete reinstall of both MSFS and Xbox Gaming Services. Nothing works.

There’s still one more option: the nuclear one - delete cloud save.

MSFS MS Store
How to delete a cloud save on PC to fix some loading issues or reset the logbook – Microsoft Flight Simulator Support

MSFS Steam
How to delete a Steam cloud save to fix some loading issues or reset the logbook – Microsoft Flight Simulator Support

I did that, after backing up all of my control profiles (couldn’t care less about the logbook anyway), and it seems to have cured the cloud save message, but now, every time I load MSFS, it asks if I want to use the local save (newer) or the cloud save. The really weird part is that the date and time for the cloud save is from before I deleted it, which doesn’t make much sense to me. It appeared as if I successfully deleted the old cloud save, since it wiped out my control profiles as expected.

I used this option, among other possible fixes. I got the message you refer to, but I believe I was tjem loading an old cloud save, because it restored my settings.

I have to admit I don’t fully understand how it was able to do that. Is the nuclear option only deleting the most recent cloud save and others (at least one) before it are also saved in a “stack”, so that a previous cloud save takes the deleted cloud save’s place?

I graduated from Code 2047 to 2059 on the last update. One weird thing I noticed is my helis on SAR missions won’t lose enough collective lift to land! Makes it tough to recover anyone even on a hoist pickup!. And of course theres still the terrible ATC errors when trying IFR flights…
