Cockpit Cam Freeook Acceleration/Inertia/Momentum when Panning

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

In MSFS 2024 despite setting the Cockpit Freelook Camera Momentum to 0 in both the main settings menu and the camera menu from the toolbar, the camera still accelerates when panning if you move the mouse slightly too quickly.

It makes it very hard to be precise with the camera and if you move the mouse slightly too fast the camera moves very quickly and out of control.

This also causes stuttering as the field of view instantly changes to the opposite direction.

In MSFS 2020 one can control the camera very smoothly when panning and therefore not creating additional stutters.

I use middle mouse button and HOLD rather than TOGGLE for the cockpit freelook. So as I hold the middle button down I use the mouse to pan around the camera.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

Yes still get the issue with a completely empty community folder.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time I use the sim.

  1. Move the mouse quite quickly in MSFS 2024 Cockpit Cam Freelook. You will see the huge difference compared to 2020.

Extremely annoying. 2020 cockpit view system was fine, and I’m pretty sure no one wanted this acceleration/momentum. Just one more thing that makes it hard to switch to 2024. Why hasn’t this received any attention?
