I’m having a problem with clicking inside cockpit. Like if I want to click some button or whatever, sometimes it’s really hard to engage it. So it shows me normal cursor if I’m over something and I’m not able to click. If I move few px in some direction (still on that button etc.) than cursor changes to pointing hand and message is shown “Turn on …”, then I’m able to click. It’s really annoying and hard especially when flying and there’s some wind. Movement of airplane makes it even harder.
It’s like you have to click specific pixel to be able to activate something.
Welcome to FS…about the only thing you can do is either press pause when you want to click a button or a key, or turn down the sensitivity of the mouse.
Eventually given enough hours you’ll get used to it. But in the meantime just press pause you know just like in real life ;p
You’ll also find that some buttons clicking on the left moves whatever left and on the right it’ll move it right. If you click dead on in the center it will do something else…
Yea when mentioning left and right side, sometimes I’m not able to click in region let’s say 10% from left side of screen, and 10% of right, so I have to turn my view with mouse then I’m able to click. Like there’s some hidden overlay
I agree. I’m having the same issue. It’s really annoying to try to fly and make adjustments to autopilot knobs and switches in VR mode.
I have no problem with the switches and knobs in 2D mode, but I spent all of this money on the Sim and on the VR headset, specifically for the flight simulator, and I don’t want to fly in 2D mode. I really wish the developers would spend some time on fixing cockpit interaction in VR mode.
No more scenery updates until cockpit interaction in VR mode is perfect.
I’m having the same issue since last Update 7/28 and 7/29. Flying the 787 on a PC and “using” AP. I have almost 400 hrs flying this sim…I’m in my 35th year flying sims. What’s recently happening, Heading Hold won’t disengage. Some thing very odd. The “new” feature to spin knobs and or select various autopilot “buttons”…terrible. The original feature using the mouse was great…something isn’t right.
You can still use the old ways young grasshopper. Go into General Options and Accesibility, about half way down the right side you will see a selection that is set to Modern having to do with Locked mode. Set that and only that to Legacy and you will have it back in PC mode like before the patch.
Do Not Change Your Flight Model to anything but Modern just the above…
That worked! Bubba Thank you…you just forgot one menu it was next to cockpit authentication but I figured it out. Good job and thx again. Old grasshopper out.
LOL no problem I got ■■■■■■ when I saw that the 1st time I started the game and got ■■■■■■ as well, but I remembered something about it in the release notes.
Have fun seems to be running pretty good here so far hope the same for you.
