I am currently unsure if it is a VR only bug, or general. But lately I have noticed that when ATC is talking, cockpit interactions like rolling the altitude adjustment knob or speed bug, can be ignored. This is in multiple aircraft. Longitude, 787, Bonanza, and 172.
