Cockpit interaction stops after escaping to modify controls while in VR


ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
While in VR, when exiting to modify control bindings and then resuming the flight, you lose the ability to interact with any cockpit items. The mouse will not click on any buttons or knobs.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?
Didn’t use VR enough to notice pre-Beta.

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start a free flight.
  2. Enter VR mode via Ctrl-Tab
  3. Confirm you can interact with cockpit.
  4. Press escape and change a control or binding.
  5. Save and exit.
  6. Resume flight.
  7. Notice that you can no longer interact with the cockpit.

Unfortunately, the only way to make the mouse cursor work in VR, is to Escape out , and back in to the sim with another ‘Esc’ keypress. big immersion breaker.

FWIW, I’ve run into this, mainly changing controller settings.
If you hit ESC, then SETTINGS, then CONTROLS, then SAVE AND BACK and resume, they should come back, it works on mine. Hoping they fix that, and the mission pop-up disappearing soon.

Same here. Must be obvious to everyone.

Possibly related to this bug, perhaps?

I had the same problem. When I used one of the HTC VIve VR controllers on a switch, after that the mouse worked again.
