Does it happen to you too and if there is any way to solve that in fs2020 if you are inside the cockpit and you look at the gaze to the panels outside the environment looks dark.
Assuming your dome light is on, the game is trying to simulate human night vision. Your pupils are adjusting to allow the light in the cockpit to be absorbed into your eyes. because they are smaller, they are not able to see whatever light is being emitted outside the plane (not that there’s much to begin with).
Yknow how your parents yelled at you for turning the light on in the car at night on the grounds they can’t see out the windshield? Same principle
In most other cases where it’s dark as heck and you cant see the buttons in the cockpit, Left Alt + L will enable a headlamp so you can see.
Even then depending on the time of year, your latitude and the current phase of the moon will determine how bright it is outside.
All that said, MSFS doesn’t have a great nighttime environment if you ask me. It’s VERY dark.
