It’s niggled me for a while now but it appears clearer to me as I go between 2020 and 2024. I find overall that the cockpit appears larger in 2024 than 2020 in VR. Switches seem much larger and in some cases I can’t believe they are that size in real life. My last flight in 2024 was in the Fenix A321. The switches for the lights on the overhead look massive compared to 2020. The EFB appears to be laptop size rather than tablet size. Is there a scaling issue with 2024 or was 2020 getting it all wrong. I sometimes feel I’m flying in the land of the giants.
I have the same issue in VR. Sometimes it starts out at a proper zoom, but then somehow changes to a zoom greater than 1.0, making everything appear larger.
The VR settings have a world scale that I changed to 1.0, but the VR zoom stays at 1.4. If I hit the B key on my Quest 3 controller I get a grid overlay with a zoom slider, but changing the slider to 1.0 does not do anything…
I have closely compared the two cockpits of the Fenix in 2020 and 2024 and they are the same. What I have found is the default aircraft cockpits just look so much bigger than their 2020 counterparts. The switches etc on them and the glareshield appear much larger. I don’t know if this is an illusion, could only be me on my system but it just looks odd.
