Cockpit View Jerky in VR Mode - Airbus A32NX FBW

I use the HP Reverb G2 VR headset. The cockpit image has always been a bit shaky when I move my head, but it is definitely more so in the A32NX FBW. I’m very pleased with the performance of MSFS and the Reverb G2 otherwise. Any ideas on why I’m having more significant issues only with the one plane?

Is the problem multiplied when zooming in. Say, on the mcdu?

Some cockpits are more demanding than others. Typically, the more lcd screens a cockpit has, the more jerky it is in VR. Out of all the planes I have flown, the FBW airbus is the most demanding (and therefore jerkiest), so I think your experience is normal, unfortunately…

Yup, I wouldn’t fly the A320 in VR. Having the same issues. Unfortunately TrackIR is a pain too when trying to program the MCDU so I’m stuck with the mouse for that aircraft.

Thanks guys for your feedback. I was afraid that that’s the way it is with VR, but given how much I’m hooked on VR flying, I’ll find a way to deal with it. Thanks again for your comments.

If you’re into VR and airliners, give the CRJ from aerosoft a try. It has smaller screens (and maybe fewer of them), so it’s quite a bit smoother in VR than the FBW airbus. It’s still a lot jerkier than steam gauged GA planes, though!

Thanks, I’ll be sure to check it out at the Marketplace.

Let me know how you get on with this!

I’ve submitted 4-5 tickets to Zendesk in the past few weeks regarding the extreme stutters in the LA area. I have had the worst problems around the WLNUT and DODGR waypoints. The stutters never lasted that long, probably two minutes or so (always seems longer than it is), but that is long enough to lose any sense of immersion, especially since looking around at the city below during approach and landing is my favorite part of the flight.
